Had my SA 9mm Stainless Target for several years, bought it second hand on this forum. Absolutely love it.

As for the Gear Up program, I got 6 mags with my Professional, 2 more free ones on the way

Ha, oh you poor thing! You were denied by the insanely hot American girl, so you have to settle for being consoled by the insanely hot and athletic Czech girl.

You should get the P-01 too so you can "duel-wield" *wink-wink* the Czech girls.

(although I'd be lying if I said I wasn't pretty excited than I can date both the Czech and American hotties anytime I want )

My gear up box was on my porch when I got home yesterday, arrived waaaaayyy quicker than I expected. The promo said to allow 8-12 weeks for delivery, I think it got here in 3.

Mag holster is meh, 2 free mags is 2 free mags, and the range bag although probably not the most durable one I own, is well thought out with multiple mag pouches inside and nicely padded. The liner inside is that kind of slick polyester or whatever the cheap old school down jackets were skinned with, I would be careful to not put a still hot pistol inside.

      Free swag is free swag!

yes its an easy swap no fitting needed and .38 mags will feed 9mm ok but not great. if you buy an original armscor 9mm barrel with link. sarco is your friend or straight from armscor if the barrel is in stock. A roto barrel is made by armscor and is about 50-60 bucks at e-sarcoinc.com. cheap way to get a beater 9mm you wont be scared to use and keep for display purposes. mine is is great for the money and very accurate.

With the .38 Super RIA yes, although I would get 9mm specific mags myself.

Now, the real challenge is modifying the breach face to fit 10mm, then you can swap barrels, mags and springs and shoot. 9mm, .38 super, .357 sig, .40 S&W and 10mm. I may have to do that as I would like a 10mm, but can't afford another kimber.

Here is the RIA in .38 Super for $420. Add 50-70 for FFL transfer and you are still under $500. With a Sarco barrel and mags you are at @$600 for a two caliber 1911. http://grabagun.com/armscor-ri-1911-...-9rd-prkd.html

Not to hi-jack the OP's thread, but regarding the SA Loaded... I'm sure it's a great pistol, but is it really twice as good as the RIA? I have a RIA Tactical and while I'm sure there are "nicer" pistols, I've yet to have a problem with it and it's one of my most accurate pistols. Unless the 9mm RIA's are pieces of crap (which I doubt) I'm not sure I can justify twice the price... but I'm asking those who have fired both.

My Ria compact wouldn't cycle fully and would regularly have to push the slide to fire again. Got some Wilson combat springs installed and right as rain

I am a fan of Ria regardless this Springfield was one of a few 1911 9mm on the ca roster

If you calculate the cost difference, yes I would imagine it is.

SA Loaded has: Beaver tail instead of duckbill, rounded hammer, adjustable trigger, better ADJUSTABLE sights, stainless steel finish, better fit and finish as well as the fact that you don't have to buy a barrel to make it shoot 9mm instead of .38 Super.

But from my(budget) perspective, and looking at it as a project, the RIA is attractive. But if I had the funds for the SA I would start there instead.

You can get a barrel at sarco, but they have some here also. Might want a 10mm barrel too, then open up the breach face for it. https://www.gunpartscorp.com/Manufac...rels-37759.htm

They also have a 7.62 x 25 Tokarev barrel that I am interested in. Supposed to work OK with a .38 Super mag, but is ammo picky. https://www.gunpartscorp.com/ad/1289530.htm#1289530B
