    KIMBER CUSTOM II

Just a heads up. Turner's is having a one day sale for a Kimber Custom II on Weds, 11-4-15 ONLY for $630. This is the cheapest I found for a Kimber.

Not bad for that price, not bad at all. Wish SA will sell their LOADED 1911 for that price.

My favorite, by far. I have two of the Custom IIs. They are smooth, accurate, feature laden, and ..... reliable.

In all my years of seeing hundreds of different 1911s, I've actually seen 3 Kimbers with the rusty barrel. It wasn't really that bad, it looked more like smudges.

I've read " plenty " of internet " cases " though. My 3 Kimbers don't have the rust issue.

I have a Custom II TLE; basically the same gun. I love it.

Extractor was too tight from the factory, all sorts of issues going back into battery. It was my first gun and I had no clue, ended up sorting it out with a trip to a smith. Great shooter ever since. FWIW the smith was a Kimber fan.

I did have rust issues; light surface rust on the barrel and under the grips. New gun owner, again. Cleaned it off with some FP-10 and copper wool, gently. I have since kept it oiled and cleaned under the grips, no more rust. Eezox is great as a rust preventative, btw.

Only 24 guns available. Better get in line early.

Did they have rust issues recently or it's the thing in the past?
