Maybe it was the combination of clp and frog lube that gummed up my gun, but accidentally mixing other lubricants never gave me an issue before

I was an early adopter of froglube and ran it pretty hard in my g19s and ars. It caused enough issues that I stopped. It makes lube way too complicated.

Since Froglube isn't a petroleum product, it would make sense.

Nice pick up. I grabbed myself a gen4 last year and couldn't be happier. I shoot this gun better than my 34 and 21sf. Just a real nice shooter.

Nice gun, OP. I have a 22 gen 3 that has a Lone Wolf 40-9 conversion barrel and am extremely happy with it. Frog lube is fine, but I think if you start using it, it must be the ONLY type of lube you use in that gun.

I use Astroglide and KY for my gun.

You shouldn't have a problem with FL. Here are two links that will give you additional info, including FAQ about how important it is to stop using other products if continuing with FL.

Congrats OP, I suggest extended mag release, after market fiber optic sights from ameriglo, and practice dry firing. Also if you can , polish the internals with flit to smoothen not reduce the trigger trust me it's great.

Lastly frog lube, ugh I used the oil and it sucked. Gummed up 10/22 and FNX 45.
But I had a small paste tub and that stuff is the real deal.
If you plan on using frog lube I suggest heating up gun coating it and once it's cooled down wipe it all off, then add a small coat again but don't heat it and that should prevent humming. Just my 2cents.

Congrats OP. Great choice for a first Handgun.

Leave her stock for now and spend money on Ammo.
Froglube is good if you live in the Tropics. But you're fine.

I am still working off a quart container of MOBILE 1

Considering a Glock only needs about 10 drops of lube, it will last a while..hahaha.

One reminder: avoid oil or lube In the firing pin channel. No lube. Just clean and after 1000 rounds, pull the pin assembly out and clean out that area. I use these long wood Q tip things. Surprised at how much GUNK from powder gets in that channel. I have an Air Compresor in my home shop, so I can deep dry my weapons and rivet up a tail section.

New Rule. Buy ammo in bulk. Soon we will be fighting for basic ammo rights.

                                Be well
