I picked mine up yesterday too. I had a gen 4 but I decided to sell and get the gen 3

Enjoy. The 17 is probably still my all time favorite hand gun but the 34 gets closer every time I handle it.

Don't over think the lubrication, it should work fine with anything from spit to motor oil.

Not to rain on your parade young gunner, but I agree^^^ I haven't had good experience with the froggies lube. Maybe i got a bad batch too. Maybe your gun won't gum up.. $ would of been better spent on an extended slide stop or ammo. The 17 is a good gun congrats!!!

My only experience with it has been in my Beretta semi URIKA 391, I used the liquid on it and it gummed up the action...tried it two different times same thing..I've heard better results from the wax. Honestly after the semi I didn't want to chance it on my others. Spent about $50 on it. A lot of people swear bye it. It didn't work for me..still in a tote.

At times it can gunk the action. Slip 2000 for me all the way

Congrats OP. I've been a froglube user for more than 2 years without issue BTW. As long as you strip the initial oils off first, you shouldn't have any issue.

Congrats on the Glock brand Glock 17. And I agree with everyone else, don't use froglube. Also +1 for the motor oil, gun oils and lubes are stupid in my opinion. Motor oil is made to put up much more abuse than anything a firearm will ever produce and is a third of the cost for ten times as much oil. You can get a quart of 10-30 for like 4 dollars, which works well.

Ahhhh, Glock. The logical Choice of the discriminating and fussy gun owner. Accept no substitute.

Doesn't say so on the frog lube, either. I read about it on line. I tried it, and it made a world of difference.
