You gotta love Ruger's support on any gun of any age. They are studs.

I had trouble understanding their users manual and saying no warranty....
I don't know if they still still give the Davidson's free lifetime warranty, not sure it matters.

I know what I wrote does not make sense, but here's what I was told by Ruger.

They had been sued so many times that they dumped warranty service (according to the manual), but will service almost any gun within reason. The Davidson's lifetime is like an insurance policy.

Please clarify if I am wrong.

      Ruger P95

This pistol was purchased new in 2001. I am the second owner. I bought it in 2002. Ruger fixed it for zero dollars. I only paid to ship it to them. I was quoted over $75 to ship it to them but Ruger supplied me with a $30 Fed Ex shipping label. So they even saved me $45. I can't say enough about their customer service.

I received the pistol back yesterday and will be going to the range on Friday. I'll update after that.

A happy owner of a Ruger P95DC here. The only problems I've experienced were cheap aftermarket magazines and a weak mag release spring. I fixed the spring myself. I currently have two 10 round factory mags and a P89 10 rounder that I bought from another Calguns member.

It shoots everything I feed it and it is fun to ring 100 yard plates with it.

According to my LGS, mine was owned by a LEO who purchased it for a backup. It was like new when I bought it. After around 500 rounds, it settled in to being a sweet & accurate pistol. It out shoots my friends Glock 17. It feels like an extension of my hand and is my primary home defense gun.

Sorry that it's been quite awhile since I updated this.

The pistol works flawlessly. Ruger's customer service is top notch. It's a shame there are very few semi auto handguns on the roster.

Loved my P95. Hated the grip angle. It shot accurate enough, was the first pistol my daughters shot, and never failed on any type of ammo.

Still have a hankering to get a P89 some day. i love big pistols that can be used as anchors if needed.

I have a P94 Ruger that I bought back in 1994 or 1995. After a while the gun would jam all the time. In 2015 I sent it to Ruger and they replaced three items and shoot 40rds with no problems. They sent it back and they did the repairs at no charge. When I got my P94 back I went to the range and it fired great. I was at the range yesterday (12/27/15) and it fired great again. Ruger has great customer service.

I bought a P95 many years ago after seeing a torture test, (don't remember who did the test) of 20,000 rounds. There was a lot of speculation as to the potential wear on the frame due to not having steel inserts, as in a Glock. Results? "After 20,000 rounds, no visible signs of wear". At $269.00 it was one of the cheapest 9s out at the time and became my first one. Never had a problem with it and put many thousands of rounds through it.

Thanks for the update. What did Ruger change or fix?
