I can get 10 in mine with no problem at all it's when I'm putting in the 15th or 17th or 13th when they get hard to load.

What can I say I'm old.
I move slow but I make up for it by shooting poorly.

When I hit the lotto I'm only shooting factory.

When I first bought my Glock (19) it came with 2 10rnd mags.. Theywere hard to load to max capacity.. What I did was to leave them loaded when I wasn't using them.. The point is to weaken just a little to be able to load that 10th round in with trouble..

I just use the mag loader that came with my Glock20. After the first few times, the process of loading 10 rounds into a magazine became pretty easy.

I usually don't use mag loaders but when I found the Up-Lula, it made life a whole lot easier.

It's tough on my Glock, XD and CZ mags. Ouch.

I always download all my magazines by -1. Under stress its easier to slam the mag home because there's more give in the mag spring. A 10 round mag with 10 full rounds has virtually no give.

If it makes tactical reloads easier to do the trade off is something to consider. But if all you intend to do is speed or emergency reloads from slide lock all the time I guess there's no point.

                  You beat me to it!

My hi-cap (17rd) Glock mags are pretty easy to use, as are the 10 rounders that came with a recent G17 purchase.

The problem Glock mag for me has been the 10 rounder with the G21SF, very stiff and couldn't get mag in gun with all 10 loaded.

It's been state here many times: Up-Lula!! I've loaned mine to other shooters at the range and they fell immediately in love with the ease of use.

I have had the same issues with both my G19 and G21. Besides the auto loader, make sure you are loading the mag while the floor plate is up against a sturdy object. For example, make sure you are loading it while its against a table as opposed to just holding it in one hand and loading it with the other up in the air. The resistance of the mag being pushed against something sturdy will help. Also, when you are at home, pre-load your mags with 10 rounds and just leave them there for a while (days or even weeks). Doing this will loosen up the springs a bit. Loading Glock mags will always be a pain, but doing these things along with using a speed loader will make it easier.

Yeah, store them for awhile as fully loaded as you can. Hopefully, the springs will set enough to make more room. Common in 10-rd mags. Fwiw, I've experienced the same with other guns (e.g. SIG factory 10-rd mags). Storing them loaded usually takes care of it...

Question though... Since storing fully loaded obviously weakens the spring, after you get it to where you like it how long is it safe to store them loaded without possibly having future spring issues?

                            It was the Glock 21.

I found that out the hard way with my new G17 mags at a USPSA match. Got a weird double feed cuz the fresh mag did not seat completely, even though I thought I slammed it home firmly enough. That, IMHO, is the worst part of new Glock mags. Difficulty in loading them beforehand is a minor annoyance in comparison.

Keeping them fully loaded for a while and frequent use does loosen them up enough, however, so it's not a real fatal flaw. Part of a CA-approved Glock's charm, eh?

I could actually get 9 in my 21sf and finally I can get 10 in... Still tough to get the last one in though!
