I refuse to believe a stock glock can shoot better than a stock Cz. No way no how. At that point it becomes the shooter. Just because you got used to holding a blocky gun and can't shoot a finely contoured ergonomically masterpiece, doesn't mean the rest of us can't make up our own miss for ourselves.
You don't need to put anything on a gun to shoot better. Just get some time behind the trigger BEFORE modding it....
And yes a finely tuned Cz can compete with a 1911 trigger. And it doesn't even need to BE a shadow....

I think with all the talk of modding guns, MIM vs no MIM bla bla what you said gets lost in the dust and it's very important.

If a person can't shoot for beans and has crappy skills how much weight does their opinion really carry when they say for example "I had an XYZ pistol and it sucked"

I had it for about eight months, shot it a bunch. Never warmed up to it. Nothing personal, it's just a gun. And I shot it before I upgraded it. It was no better before upgrades, not sure why shooting it in its original state would make it any better.

And no, IMHO it can't compete with a 1911 trigger. The reset on the non-Shadow versions is noticeably longer, the trigger sweeps in an arc vs. straight back.

That said, they're nice enough guns, feel nice in the hand, and work well enough (until you break a slide stop at a most inopportune moment), just not my bag of donuts. I do like how the front sight is dovetailed in. Makes changing it a simple job. But man are there a lot of small, spring loaded parts inside those things!!!

The SA 9mm falls off the roster in Jan 2016 and is no longer made by SA. Just the RO 9mm model is made by SA.

Valid point. That's why I'm careful not to say that anything sucks, is inferior or is junk, instead noting that I didn't care for whatever aspect of said gun I didn't care for. I do love reading those opinions though.

Now that they realize that folks will keep buying them if they build them, it stands to reason that they will continue to sell them. I remember years ago when my fixed sight springer, cz75 sa, and SP01 Shadow were super rare.

Springer 9mm

I have the Springfield 9mm, I've put thousand's of rounds on Target over 11 year's of use with no issues. I have the hi power as well, for me, the 1911 just fits better and the trigger is better. I did rework the trigger on the hi power with a huge improvement. Last if an sti is available I would grap it without question.

I've never read of any history of problems with Trojans of any generation. I do know the older ones have Trojan written in huge letters. I assume to let the rest of us know how inferior our guns are. Not sure why they switched to the smallet font.

In any event, I would check into it if I needed a 9mm. Despite my joke, those guns seem to work. My only issue is the price gouging.

There's no real price gauging for either of those pistols.
Those are prices that aren't inflated compared to before SSE......
Spartan is discontinued now while the Trojan is still being made.
