    1911 9mm

I really want a full size 1911 in 9mm and the best two options I found for California are the Kimber Target II and Springfield Loaded. Just wondering if any one here has had any experience with these two or maybe knows of another 9mm 1911 on the roster. As of now I'm probably just gonna get which ever one I can find first.

I've got the Kimber. Had a few extractor issues when new. Once those were sorted out, it's become a solid performer.

Keep your eyes open for a 9mm Range Officer in the Marketplace. Getting mine out of jail tomorrow. LNIB and I picked it up for $1,000.

VERY nice! I'm hoping to find a 9mm RO to use as a base gun for a custom job.

            I've owned both...and a lot of other 9mm and .38 Super 1911s.

Both of the roster guns are good to go.

Rock Island Armory in 38 super. Easily converted to 9mm for under $100.

              Yes you can have 2 C&R 03 FFL's; 1 in California and 1 in a different state.

I had the Kimber Stainless II, after break in, pistol ran flawless. No issues with any type ammo I ran through it. Very nice shooter, I would recommend. Have no experience with the Springfield but its sure purdy.

A little pricy but there's a RI double stack 9 with full rail in the marketplace right now that I'd love to have.

I have the Kimber SS Target in 9mm. Love it and never had problem with it. So far not even a ftf.

Yup, that's the plan. Have the OEM 9mm barrel, just need to find a cheap RIA in 38 Super

I've held the Kimber Target in 9mm and liked it too, but couldn't justify buying it. I like the Springfield and they are very good. The major 3 things I hate about them are. Hammer, Sear and Disconnector - They are MIM parts.

Springfield has a ramped barrel. Kimber doesn't.

Kimber has Schwartz safety system, Springfield doesn't.

Both (and most other guns out there) have MIM parts. Not sure it's that big a deal.

I own a Springfield 9mm, loose and rattly, and sear was junk, I lightly polished it and it stopped holding the hammer back. Cheap and easy fix but annoying...

Shoots well now and is very accurate. Would I buy it again? Yes, cause I have no other options. I wanted the ramped barrel and Kimber didn't have that. And I didn't want to pay the ridiculous mark-ups being asked for off-roster guns.
