Is it next to impossible to own a Glock 43 here in California after single shot exemption expires last year. Or is there any loop hole we can use?

Private Party Transfer from anyone thats owns one here in the state legally.
People that are exempt from the roster (L.E.) will have them but you will PAY for that

You can buy via PPT, but it's not a loophole. It's a completely legal way to obtain a CA legal weapon. Since the supply is very limited, while demand is rather large, it may cost you.Comment

No, there are far more examples of "member's" relatives, who live out of state, sending them Glock 43s as "gifts", than officers offering them for sale to the public. It's not worth an LEO'S job to sell them to the public. Need examples? Check the classified section. Seems lots of people here have sons / parents willing to spend vast sums, and jump through lots of state and federal hoops to "gift" their relatives a stinking off-roster hand gun. I don't believe it for a second. Don't get caught up in it.Comment

You sound bitter and jaded. I've personally bought from LEOs and I highly doubt they're risking their jobs, because they aren't. They apparently didn't want the gun anymore and have the same rights to sell their property as any other private citizen. No, there are far more examples of "member's" relatives, who live out of state, sending them Glock 43s as "gifts", than officers offering them for sale to the public. OP, have fun shopping, you'll need to pay the premium California prices though. Sucks.

I just did a quick search for 43 in the handgun classified ads. I quit counting at 20 Glock 43's on the first page, click below:

Really? My father and I have bought firearms as gifts for each other quite a few times( He's in Illinois.). There really aren't any extraneous "hoops" to jump through on either the state or federal level, as California has something set up to cover just that, and even a 4473 has a clarifying remark about gifts and the "Are you the actual purchaser of the firearm?" question.

No hoops, nothing complicated.
Very simple. I have 3 adult kids out of State. 2 in Oklahoma.....where you can buy any gun you wish in a McDonalds parking lot.
seriously.....
My daughter decides to gift me a Gen 4 Glock (for example) she simply has her FFL in Tulsa send the weapon with a gift letter from her inside the case, to my FFL here in California. He calls me, I go over and start the DROS. Gifts from out of State Vertical Relatives are EXEMPT from the Roster.
Shipping is sometimes free and never more than $25 bucks.
Funny thing is, I'am not interested in the Glock 43 at all....they cost $489 in Tulsa Oklahoma.

I bought a Glock 43 at my uniform shop few months ago. Nice little gun but thats about it.
Is it worth 380.00 + TAX NIB? Yeah , I guess.
Is it worth much more? Not to me.
If You see one for sale and want it , You can buy it via PPT.
PS. If You look around , You can find a really nice hardly ever used PRE LOCK?MIM J frame S&W 38 SPL revolver for about 400-500.00 all day long.
It WILL be more reliable. You can load it with any ammo You want (as long as its 38SPL) and it will go BANG everytime.
In a pocket holster , it will print less than a G43.
You can fire it from inside a pocket in an emmergency and it wont jam for the next shot.
Also , from experience , small guns make us lazy .At first we buy them to carry when its impractical (we think) to carry anything else.
Then we end up carrying them all the time.
I carry most of my life and I MUCH rather have my G19 in an emergency than a G43.Comment
