    Dan Wesson 10mm

I bought a Dan Wesson Silverback in 10mm during the single shot exemption period. I wanted to get the Elite Series Titan, but was a little short on cash at the time. Besides its a hi-cap and I wasn't sure I would be able to get 10 rounders here in Kali. I shoot everything thru it. Really like loading up the 155gr to max velocity. Makes for a great long range handgun. Once I sighted in, I could hit the steel chickens at 200 meters. Would score 2 to 3 hits out of a full magazine. Could occasionally hit the steel pigs at 300. But that was more luck than anything. Used Kentucky Windage mostly. At normal pistol ranges I can shoot 1 1/2" to 2" groups at 50 yards from a bench rest. It's probably one of the more accurate 1911 type handguns I own. I do have a Les Baer with the 1 1/2" guarantee that is more accurate, but that gun is kinda in a class all it's own.

      Colt Delta

Oh yeah, I did own a Delta Elite a few years back. Sorry guys, but it sucked. It was typical Colt out of the box accuracy, not very good. I sold it and never looked back. For some stupid reason, they do seem to have risen in price recently It reminds me of other Colt products that were not that good, but once they discontinued them, they gained in value. A good example is the King Cobra. I bought one back in the day when they were being made. It was disappointing. Some guys call them a poor mans python. I wouldn't make that comparison. A S&W 686 is 10 times better than a King Cobra.

OceanBob, I was checking out your reloading bench. What's with that old balance beam RCBS 505 scale? Dang, even an old timer like me has stepped up to digital. So much faster than waiting for the balance beam to quit bouncing. LOL! I know, old habits die hard. I started reloading in 1969. I do remember my RCBS rockchucker, RCBS uniflow powder measure, and RCBS 505 scale. I don't know how I ever managed. hahahaha Of course, today my equipment is much faster. I have 7 Dillon 1050's, a 650 that I never use, and a couple of 550s. Also have some automated equipment, ie Camdex and Ammo Load machines that are left over from my commercial reloading days. Now I just load for myself and family mostly. The kids, inlaws, grandkids, brothers, etc.

          10mm rocks
If hunting I carry a G-20 with Buffalo Bore 220 Hardcast
For plinking with 1911 style 10mm's I prefer 180 gr
Kimber Eclipse II is a great 10MM
and if you get really lucky, a used Delta Elite may pop up at your favorite LGS

              G20

Also an Olympic Arms 10mm upper for the AR, because I like to have handguns and carbines that shoot the same round.

I reload, and shoot paper targets. Mostly 180 grain ammo. I don't have a "fine tuned" load with a more optimal powder, but do have a "production" load using the same powder (Unique) that I use for the rest of my handgun loads that reliably gets the bullet out of the barrel and onto the target.

Am strongly considering going with this combo and factory ammo for my "go to 3am emergency" kit.

btw - There was a brief article about 10mm in this month's American Rifleman.

Riflegear keeps killing me with the P220 Elite they have listed in 10mm. Came out just a few months ago, and I would have loved to get one in the 2014 SSE rush.

Haha....yeah, I still love that old school 505. One of my adult kids has my digital and these days I have to Frisk them if they stop by to see Dad.

Just bought another 550 to run Some .357 and will run some .44 magnum on the other machine. These Lever Guns need food.....

My youngest at 17 still likes range time with Dad. So she helps me reloading for a bit on Saturdays, then we do the Range and lunch......I absorb these Good times.

Wow. 7 Dillon 1050s.....you got it handled. Really well.

                  Be well

                  Bob

OceanBob That is a very impressive collection of 10mm's! Thanks for sharing.

Here is my one and only 10mm. A Glock 20sf with Warren Tactical Sevigny sights, Talon grips, extended slide lock and a 6" Glock barrel.

I have been shooting 200grain Nosler HP and X-Treme 180grain handloads. Now I'm going to try some 155grain Hornady XTP's with Blue Dot powder.

                        Gooo 10mm

I have a Glock 20 sf. Shoot anything from 135 grain. Hollow points all the way up to 220 Hardcast From Underwood Ammo . I'd love to have the Sbr in 10 mm or for Lone Wolf to make a Glock Mag Ar lower..... But for now for fun .......
