Especially if it's hard to find/rare, they don't care if it's sold, they ask f you still have, they want to know if you have more, etc. Not worth the hassle, there's a reason craigslist ads disappear when transaction done.
Yup, nothing kills a thread quicker than renaming it "..........."

I repeat - often I remove the selling price because it's over and others did not pay to see what it sold for.

So this whinging about removing the sale price does not make sense. And the best way of pricing your sale is to figure what you have to have for the sale, check GB and if you want a quick sale, price 10% lower than the GB price... Gad it's not that hard.

I guess we all make a science out of things that urk us. I thought this thread about the Hatfield's and McCoy's was dead. What the hell! An A for effort for both sides. GB prices aren't helpful for anything off-roster because it doesn't reflect our market.

If it was, you'd post a Glock 43 for $450 and not take a tremendous loss.

                Obvious. Still it's not difficult.

I came in to see the people who care too much one way or the other argue.

                  I was not disappointed.

I think I'm going to change my policy. I'll sell the info. Gift me $5 into my PP account and I'll be happy to tell you what I sold it for.

The folks who don't care or who tend to remove the price have many iTraders.

                            The "others" have few.

I could be wrong as it's hard to take this thread seriously.

The whole point of having more information available is it would simply average out outliers like that you're describing and it wouldn't be a big deal.

Your idea to sandbag the market has much more effect if EVERYONE else decides to remove their information and yours is the only voice.

It's honestly hard to take seriously that it takes so much explaining to convince people that pricing information is valuable to making an informed decision when pricing something to buy or sell.

It's the same 3 or 4 objections over and over which me and others have addressed.

Discussion is good and if there are legitimate reasons not to leave the information up for the community, there should be a good discussion about it. Instead, there seems to be an unnecessary amount of ego, bravado and stubbornness when discussing this.
