+1 for rifle gear, great people.
Got e-mail notification Tuesday night that the SP-01 was available. Dros one on Wednesday and while I was there, 2 other folks were getting the same gun. SP-01 went oos wednesday night. Literally, 1 day in stock.

Picked up Tactical sport in 9mm yesterday, was thinking about getting a SP01 also but dropped the idea after handling my TS.

Don't think I need SP01 now. However will buy a SP01 shadow (not custom shop) if I can find one from ppt.

I've been seriously planning on getting a TS.
Please give us a range report. I'm particularly interested to know your impressions of the plastic trigger and the stock sights...

Plastic trigger is non issue, I didn't feel anything weird about it. After shooting it will decide whether to change the sights to adjustable with FO front.

How durable is the finish on the tactical sport? especially the silver one?

I am sticking with the stock TS trigger as well for now. Though it is polymer, it is quite rigid and i could detect very little flexing.

my CZ brothers and sistas.. what's the big deal with the 75B model besides that's the original start of it all. i've held and shot it before in both 45 and 9mm. it didn't do it for me... i could easy put those down and walk away.

but most shops i go into.. they pitch that to me once they knew i was into CZ.

i tried the SAO version of the 75B and that trigger is nice.. but after checking out a guy at the gun shop's SP01 in SAO.. i'd like that better.

anyone here done a SAO on their SP01? if so.. let hear some feedback and porn pics.

4 years ago I posted a question about why there wasn't more CZ love on this board and the responses I got were...
                        "Commie Crap"
"You get what you pay for"
                        "poor grade steel"
                        "buy a glock"
                        "buy a kimber"
                        "too heavy"

Then some of the same people would fall all over themselves to buy a baby desert eagle or Jericho. Mention Tanfoglio and they then go back to bad mouthing them. Say EAA witness and you'd get a whole lot of silence. (for those who don't know these are all straight clones of the CZ)

CZ have been and still are one of the best shooting guns you can buy. They are rock solid and one of the most ergonomic guns you will ever pick up. The CZ75 is one of, if not the single most copied handgun in the world. Even Rock Island makes a CZ clone.

Why are they just now picking up steam on CG? CZ is the new black of course! I'm still waiting for the CG crowd to find out what it's like to shoot a FNP 9 or 45 but they seemed to have jumped right over that and gone straight for the FN 5.7 which if you ask me has no reason for being except as a sidearm for those using the P90.

It's like freaking purses around here sometime. "Glocks? Oh good dear Muffy! They are SO last year! Everyone who is shooting anyone is using a CZ of course. Oooooo!"

And for the record, I love CZ's. Don't own a single one of them. Don't care for glocks and I daily carry a Kahr or XD.

I guess you guys are still really into CZs, and esp the RAMIs.

There is plenty info on the RAMI models here:

No new pistols are being sent through because no one is making them with the micro-stamping requirements. I called CZ a couple of years ago, and they stated " as long as California will allow then to renew the pistols that are on the roster, they would continue to do so."

I did it to my SP01, the trigger is great, I cajunized everything but the sights fron CZC. Very little travel, fast shooter. Very little differences between the 75B and SP01 (Rail trigger, beavertail,)

prior to buying my first pistol (CZ P01), i've rented or had a chance to shoot glock 17, 19, 34, sig P226, S&W MP9 full size, XDM, PPQ, 1911, CZ SP01 tactical, CZ75B, and various ruger & S&W revolvers.

in the end, i went with what felt the best in my hands and what help me shoot the most accurate... which is CZs and my Springfield 1911 Loaded 9mm.
