Wilson by a WIDE margin. QA for Nighthawks has plummeted of late. These posts are Fiction. They do not contain legal advice, which can only be given by a lawyer. Unfortunately, I feel you are correct. I had an older NHC Talon which was the reason I ordered one built for me. The older one, fit on everything was perfect.
The newer one arrived a few months ago and there were several cosmetic issues with the fit and finish. It went back to NHC on their dime, but in the end they said there was nothing they could do about it (machining problems....the whole grip is machined slightly off-center from the blank....front strap checkering does not end evenly on both sides of the grip. Also, they cut too much off one side of the frame when they fit the grip safety, so one side has a gap between the frame and grip safety). Granted they are only cosmetic, but I expect cosmetics to be perfect on a $2600 pistol. The two people that worked on mine were not there in '05 when the Talon was built, and one of the smiths who was there in '05 no longer is. That may be part of the problem.
The pistol was already DROS'd to me before I noticed it, so what could I do?
Didn't want to keep both, so I ended up selling the old Talon. Hope I don't regret it down the road.....If the new one wasn't built exactly how I wanted it, it would have been the one to go....
Up until a few months ago, I would have endorsed NHC hands down....everyone I had seen up to that point were "perfect"....it seems that is no longer the case.Comment

In all my reading on various firearm forums I have only seen a rare few times a Wilson had to go back to the factory. I was on the fence too looking at the same guns and walked away with a Wilson CQB. The gun reeks of quality and the finish is super tough. I vote Wilson..Comment

I think Bullseye has more Wilsons than any other dealer, which doesn't shock me given how many 1911s we have. We're a Wilson Master Dealer

I have not held or shot a Nighthawk yet but I do own a Wilson along with other good 1911's and so far the Wilson is my favorite one.Originally posted by tankermanI think most folks bubba their AR's because they watch too many action movies, play too many video games and don't understand how to socialize properly, so they fantasize about being 'action hero's'. Kind of like little girls playing dress-up.Originally posted by Douglas711Is everybody stocking up on guys now? Just curious some gun prices seem to be getting high.Comment

I owned a WC it was a very nice gun one of the members here has it now and loves it.
When the Nighthawks came out the first two I was around both have parts break off. The finish wasn't anything to write home about either.
The WC and NH both shot great but I the guns I kept are better than either.I move slow but I make up for it by shooting poorly.
When I hit the lotto I'm only shooting factory.Comment
