Would you still buy gen 3 glocks if you can't buy gen 4 glocks?

Now that there is no sse option to get a current gen model do you lose much improvement settling for gen 3.

Depends on the model I think but the difference isnt huge. I picked up a Gen 3 21SF and I haven't looked back.

I hear mixed reviews of the Gen4 vs. the Gen3. I'll still get the few Gen3's I don't have yet but I do regret not getting the G41 when SSE was still around.

I love my 4 G21 Gen 3's. Don't care for the adjustable blackstrap.

No, unless you have hands that are excessively small or large. IMHO, the interchangeable back-strap is one more thing to break or lose in the long run. I prefer the Gen 3 pistols.

Not that I would ever buy a glock , but if I did I would get a Gen 3 over the Gen4 because the grip on the 3 fits my little girl hands better than the Gen 4 G17

I have small hands, but I haven't found the Gen 3's to have size issues (any more than any other handgun I suppose). I own 3 Gen 3's.

I would though like to get Gen 4's in the future since years from now it will be easier to get upgrades, replacement parts, and 3rd party components for Gen 4's, like how it is easier today to get stuff for the Gen 3's than Gen 2's.

Also if I were a left handed shooter I'd prefer the Gen 4's most likely.

Yes, but my favorite is the RTF2 versions. Great Texture.

Do not need the adjustable backstraps, so I actually prefer gen 3 anyways. Plan to pick up a G19, G20SF, and G30SF.

Not for a 40-50% markup. The gen 3's are fine.
                        And so it goes...

The adjustable backstrap just wasn't a selling point to me.
I am quite happy with my Gen 3's

All my Glocks are Gen 4's. I sold my Gen 3s last year to convert over to Gen 4's. I prefer the texture and slightly smaller grip.

edit: Yes, I would get the Gen 3 if the Gen 4 was not available.

Yes. I got a Gen 3 G17. I'd like a Gen 4 though. Better texture on the grip, dual recoil spring, larger mag release and I would use one of the backstraps and modify it with fiberglass or something to get rid of the hump on the grip.
