Looking to get an AR pistol but had some questions. Do I need to have anything else done to the gun except have a bullet button installed? Are there any other features I need to remove or have modified? Thanks

AR pistols need to be configured to comply with CA dangerous weapons laws.
Therefore, in order to be CA legal, it will always need a maglock with a 10 or less round magazine.
AR pistols are not on the Roster of Handguns Certified for Sale.
Therefore, they may only be obtained via one of the following methods:
1. LEO sale. [PC 32000(b)(4)]
2. PPT of one already in CA. [PC 32110(a)]
3. Out-of-state intra-familial gift. [PC 32110(b)]
4. Building one from an "80% receiver" into a break-top/open single-shot pistol with a minimum 6" barrel length and minimum 10.5" overall length or a bolt-action single-shot pistol with a minimum 6" barrel length and minimum 10.5" overall length. [PC 32100(b)]
5. Buy a one manufactured as a break-top/open single-shot pistol with a minimum 6" barrel length and minimum 10.5" overall length or a bolt-action single-shot pistol with a minimum 6" barrel length and minimum 10.5" overall length from a CA FFL dealer. These have never been semi-auto and lack the parts to make it semi-auto (no gas system). [PC 32100(b)]sigpic

Where did you get this info? And could you go into details about the intrafamilial transfer? I had been saving up for an AR pistol in Utah but then got a job down here. Thanks!AR pistols need to be configured to comply with CA dangerous weapons laws.
