CZ SP-01 rear sight set screw missing?

I sent two email messages to warranty@cz-usa.com about the missing set screw for the rear sight on my new SP-01 purchased on 12/27/2014. The first email about the missing set screw was sent on 2/7/2015. If the rear sight does not require a set screw, why is there an L-Wrench in the CZ gun case?
I have not received a reply to date concerning this hitch from CZ. Is this an example of meager customer support through a modern form of communication, email, the norm for CZ? I got the warranty email link from the CZ WEB site for Pete's Sake. Do I have to use the antiquated voice communication system to get help from CZ? My email contains a picture in PNG format. I thought a picture was worth a thousand words. I expect CZ to send me a replacement set screw. Am I expecting too much service for a gun that cost me over $700 OTD? Are screws not covered in the limited 5 year warranty?

it says on the parts diagram that the setscrew is for just the P-01.

Still doesn't explain the allen wrench that came with your gun.

The SP01 has a set screw also. If you have Facebook try them there, they have answered faster there are then email. I also called them and they are very helpful.

Maybe they stopped bothering to put them in since it's not required.

You could also buy one at the hardware store for about 18 cents.

But, then again, why put one in if it isn't supposed to have one?

Find a local gun smith and have them find the right size and install. Sight set screws do fall out from time to time.
If you want change you have to put in your 2 cents, you can't just sit on the sidelines and whine.

Ill bet ya that sight is not going to move. CZ puts them in there like they want to punish people for removing them.

Call CZ USA. They are real busy sometimes and don't get to emails in a timely manner. The last warranty situation i had with a CZ went well.

My cz75 ts came w/o a slide stop spring/retaining pin. (I was wondering what those holes were for) called cz, they put the parts in the mail same day free of charge, they were surprised but other than my serial # no questions asked. Very nice people there at cz.. Chit happens they are only human.

I agree their sights are installed pretty tight, it probably will not move. I bought my SP01 last year and it did come with a grub screw. The SP01 sights came out a lot easier then my 75B. I would call them and ask for one, it will give you added assurance.

When it comes to parts that can be purchased at the local hardware store that cost less than $5, I just pick them up myself. It is not worth the hassle to make a warranty claim.

When I install sights, I sand/file them down by hand and make sure that I leave enough meat so that even the sight pusher has a hard time with them. I then cover up the sanding with some insta blu, add loctite to the dovetail, and then add loctite to the setscrew. My sights never fall off.

doesn't the front sight have a set screw as well? maybe the tool is for the front sight.

I have an SP-01 and it does have the set screw. In fact I caught it trying to back out after a range trip. I torqued it down and it hasn't moved since.

I would call them. Their CS is great. Just sent in a gun and they replaced the barrel with an updated factory part free of charge. They paid for shipping both ways.

No the front sight is cross pinned.
