Gen3 vs Gen4

I have a gen 2 g17c, gen 3 g21and a gen 4 g19.
My perfect glock would be a gen2 grip, gen3 rail and a gen4 recoil spring. Thank what I like about each of them. My gen 4 g19 shoots softer than my gen2 g17.

Why do you guys say the Gen 2 is better than Gen 3? What did they change? Erginomics?

The gen 3 added the finger grooves. I for one don't care for them but I like the rail on the gen 3

I like the Gen4 because of the smaller grip, better grip texture, reversible mag release and dual recoil spring. I just wish it didn't have finger grooves like the first 2 gen models.

If you have smaller hands the Gen 4 makes all the difference. Gen 4 have a shorter reach to the trigger in addition to a smaller grip.

Is it worth the difference in price, or is most of the difference the SSE "surcharge"? Gen4 you get the extra magazine, plus other changes indicated in the link below.

I'd gladly pay $40 or $50 more for a Gen4, and I did last year.

Funny...I like my Gen2 specifically because it DOESN'T have a rail. Not needed for CCW, so one less thing to snag on.

no rail for accessories i'd never mount and no finger grooves on the handle; for me, that's as good as a Glock can get. i'm not the brightest star in the galaxy, but i know what i like.

I was glancing at the classifieds for lack of anything better to do and started looking at Glocks because I'm masochistic.

There's about $200 difference between the Gen3 and Gen4 versions of the G23's I looked at.

Personally, I prefer the gen 3. I like the grip texture and smaller mag release and the flatter slide finish better.

Unless you are getting a PPT, Gen 3 is the only thing on the CA roster.
I thought SSE is dead in 2015?

I prefer the Gen 3, Only good thing about the roster IMO is that Glock keeps selling it to the CA market..

Figure glocks don't really wear out, original buyer paid tax and maybe some sse fee, now they're unavailable for purchase new. So markUp is what it is.
