YA, I thought the same thing. I went to Certifix in San Francisco. That guy does like 10-12 prints a day. I'm pretty sure he knew what he was doing. He did a test print and redid a few fingers to ensure they were all good. I called AZ CCW office and they didn't give a reason.....just said rejected. I'll call Monday morning and find out what's going on.

I did see that my local Sherriff office will do them for $35 for 2 cards. But now I'm in this for like $150 just on prints and postage to send prints in - If they don't accept my Sherrif office prints I don't know what else to do. Or I go back to Certifix and have them redo (I"m guessing they'll redo for free)

I simply cannot believe how easy this was. I am a current CA CCW holder and rolled my own prints.

      Mailed: 8/24
      Received: 8/28
Approved CCW: picked up from my mailbox today 9/9

In my hands 13 days from receipt, just jaw dropping. :-)

        Email them for status.

I sent my renewal in well ahead of cutoff and thirty days out got a letter reminding me that my license would expire soon.

I went to the bank that issued the Certified Check I used to pay and got a copy of the cancelled check, including the backside which provided the name of the AZDPS employee who endorsed it. I emailed that to AZDPS along with the original application information. five days later the license appeared in my mail.

        Sometimes the paperwork gets stuck.

Getting my prints done at the Sherriff tomorrow....this will be my 4th attempt at sending in prints _ If this doesn't work I'll just get a stack of like 10 cards and roll my own and send all 10 cards in

              Another fast timeline/turnaround time:

              CA CCW Course: 9/2 - 9/3
Sent in AZ App + Money Order: 9/4
              MO cashed: 9/14
              Permit Issued: 9/11
              Physical permit in hand: 9/18

AZ is quicker than CA... still waiting on the chief of my local PD to "sign off" on my permit + pickup...

Congrats!! It sounds like a lot of people are rolling there own prints. Which does make some sense b/c you can just roll a bunch and take the best ones. Gives me hope that if I'm rejected AGAIN to try and roll my own. I've had them done enough times now to know how to do it.

If you guys have been following my story you know I've had prints rejected 3 times! from 2 different places including 1 scan and print professional place. I send my set done from the sheriff office on 9/13, they arrived 9/15. At this point based on others' time frames, it's not looking good for me again

Glad to hear all the members here getting CCW in CA, AZ, and other states.

I'm at a loss. 3 difference places and 3 sets of prints rejected. I'm about ready to give up at this point . No idea what else I can do here. I guess I just have terrible fingers for taking prints.

I did 2 sets of ink. 1 set I actually did the scan device where they scan and then print them. The guy doing the scan to print even had me redo a couple after he printed a test sheet. He looked them over and they all seemed great to him. Not sure what's going on here.

I guess I can take the train back into the city (45 minutes each way) and ask if they'll redo them for free.

1 of the ink sets was at sheriff's office but that lady didn't seem to have much of a clue what she was doing.

Thinking of getting and ink pad and 25 cards on amazon ($16) and just doing like 10 cards and sending them in).

Anybody renew AZ recently? I sent my app in over a month ago and haven’t seen anything. Pretty sure my original permit showed up in less than 30 days.

Are they running slow right now?

Bummer. Mine expired a couple weeks ago.

                          Thanks for the email suggestion.

Welp? just got a return email regarding my renewal status. They are in the middle of a system update. They can?t even check to verify whether or not my app was received. Scheduled to be up and running again after October 12.

I will suggest going to a different LEA to get them done. LEAs roll plenty of prints everyday and know what they're doing when it comes to harder to roll prints.

I might be heading back to the Peninsula before the end of the year. If so, I can meet you somewhere and roll a few cards with you on the condition that you pay for them AFTER you've received your AZ permit.

Thanks for the suggestion and potential offer! Ya, the lady working at LEA seemed to be some sort of receptionist or something. She wasn't an officer or anything but it was clear she had rolled a lot of prints. But she didn't seem to really care or try that hard. Just going through the motions.

I would have thought Certifix in the city with the scan to print would have worked. Shocked that that didn't as their entire job/company is basically prints. I am calling them to see if they'll do a free reprint. But that's another $15 in public transportation and 3 hours out of my day.

If you head back this direction please do let me know! I'd appreciate it. I guess my other option is to roll my own with about $15 worth of Amazon supplies.
