It took about a month for my CCW renewal and it went without any snags. Still gives out the paper permit and 2 yrs starts the day of your renewal. Alicia did say that they are now allowing the qualifying class to be up to 6 months instead the 3 months as prior due to backlog classes. As always a very nice experience.

Just a wild *** guess, but it could be that some folks are work from home and it came from a cell phone?

Either way, glad to see Sonoma is still issuing.

I also used them, and will be using them again when I need to renew. Highly recommended.

I do not know. I forgot to add that it was a renewal so less paperwork.

I just received an interesting call. The phone showed the caller as “Los Angles, CA” as with most spam calls I was going to ignore but decided to take the call. The call was to inform me that my CCW application was approved and I was sent an email. It was only a 19 day process.

I finished my CCW training course this weekend, having attended MendoCCW’s class at the Ukiah Gun Club, and can attest to a very positive experience with them. Excellent focus on the material in classroom, and a nice array of applicable shooting drills. Organized, efficient, good people, at a price point that is more than fair. Their contact info is on the SoCo Sheriff’s website within the list of those approved for instruction/testing.

I believe the wording is that it must be that way at qualification. So if you have those sights on during qual, you're fine. You're not to change it afterwards.

It's for a new permit, she needed to see my citizenship status since I was born in Germany.

My birth certificate was good enough
