I think they’re just backed up. I figure with the North Bay fires, and County officials and employees having to prepare or possibly backup other counties with assisting or coordinating emergency assistance,t hat they’ve probably re-evaluated and temporarily changed the order of processing duties. Looking back in this feed, looks like this has been the longest gap without any Ccw movement.

Haven’t heard anything concrete, but that’s just what I think with all that’s happened.

It has been 7 weeks since turning in my training certificate and still no word. I take it that I'm likely in it for the long wait of several more months. Oh well, as long as it happens.

I'm still waiting as well... it's going on 10 weeks for me. Reviewing majority of the threads on here it looks about 6-8 weeks wait time, no movement is not a good thing

JUL 02-03: submitted training to online website.
Sep 05: notified to make final payment.
SEP 09: notified to schedule a pick up day.

Keep in mind this final payment couldn't be made until I completed the training and that the training was approved.

Scheduled CCW permit for 11/07/2017

All together, including buying the handgun that I plan to carry the most, it will be 1 year in the process. 11 months for the portion directly involved with Solano County.

just to update, my father got the call to pick up his permit today. Had turned it in June.

Congrats to everyone that has been approved. Unfortunately yesterday am on my way to drop off my 4 year old at daycare I was robbed at gun point in front of my apartment complex. Ahole saw my daughter in the back and just took my wallet, thank God he let us be. I'm blessed to be here to tell my story, but angry as hell that the criminal has all my information. Solano does not go in the order of first come first serve. I'm very disappointed...

Hey guys just moved to Solano County and im hoping to get this process started soon. Does anyone know if you need to be a resident for a certain amount of time before applying? I am getting a new license with the new address as soon as i can get to the dmv.

They require two months proof of residency via utility bill so I would say at least that. You can find most of the info required on the sheriff's site.
