This whole thing went from being a backyard jam session to a full-blown concert. Has anyone had issues with parking at the SCSO location? Where might those, that have been there, suggest?

I'm curious how they would react to this scenario.

    I have a glock 23 in .40
I have a factoy glock 19 upper and a factory .357 sig barrel

Could I list the glock 23 as a .40 cal/.357 sig/9x19 and still have two slots for other pistols?

    This is great!
Even if there are further delays, I moved from Dec 7th to April 19th.

I think, they figured there is a fixed backlog of us Calguns members in the county. They'll just surge us with some additional staff and then they'll be able to maintain with less staff doing few per month or so on a recurring basis.

We'll take progress of any kind.

Here are my predictions based off what I've seen so far. I don't have any inside info other than being further along in the application process myself, so take these with a grain of salt.

    * Interviews will likely be completed in a timely manner. Based off the scheduling, it seems they have 5-10 people interviewing at once. Interviews only last a couple of minutes anyways unless you have something in your background that you need to elaborate more on.
    * There will probably be some delay between the initial interview and interview approval. People are saying that the interviewers are volunteers, so the application may need to go through an approval flow from a higher-up. I'm not sure if they do their initial background check in this stage--if so, probably some more delays.
    * There will be major delays doing the psych eval. They outsource this to a 3rd party who also handles psych evals for San Francisco as well as other LE agencies. Unless they add additional providers or the 3rd party significantly ramps up their processing volume, there will likely be several weeks or months of delay here. I think their current capacity is a dozen or so people a week.
    * Most people are reporting that LiveScan only takes a week or two now, so likely not to cause much delay.
    * There are 10 approved training providers so far. I expect at least some of them will be able to ramp up if the demand increased.

    Work references

Do we know if Santa Clara will ask for work references and/or speak with co-workers?

    Thanks!

Looks like they cleaned up their act. The web site looks more realistic. Several slots open now through out instead of a hundred. Changed mine from August to mid April , there were 5 4 slots open about 45 minutes apart if memory s were serves.

Try and open the webpage in a new browser. Was able to log in again just now

Looks like there's more openings for Thursdays and Sundays up to 4/20..

I'm taking a guess that the minute-by-minute scheduling may be a technical limitation of the Permitium software, e.g., you can't have two appointments scheduled at the same exact time. In their email they clarify you should come to the appointment at the nearest half-hour mark.

I just got open slot for 12th April, like 10mins ago so grabbed it. My earlier one was in November.

I switched my appointment to one of the earliest ones this coming up Wednesday. Fingers crossed it’s not ‘a glitch!’

On a related note, anyone now getting a ‘Bad Order Number was entered’ error after changing their appointment time? Or is it just the website overloaded from people trying to sign up for a slot?

Looks like you guys already got the message, but County Counsel just emailed me to confirm they'd be giving everyone the option to reschedule to the three clinic dates. Almost the whole backlog will be able to be shoved through the time consuming interview step all at once. We're very pleased with this move from a formerly very anti-CCW county.

Yeah, the info seems to match up with the date/time selections, but that email could also be automated? If it's legitimate, then I'm impressed, and would like to know how they will conduct 100+ interviews in a day!
