Interview went smooth, did not even have to wait in the lobby as I arrived. It was similar experience to others, bunch of questions based on the application, any altercation incidents, etc. The officer mentioned some update in 2 weeks for the next steps. They seem to have organized this part quite well.

Just did my interview this morning. It went pretty smoothly. They took me in a few minutes early. At the end the sheriff indicated that there was nothing that raised any concerns. Hopefully, this was an honest answer and I will get the approval for the next step shortly.

Just finished step 1 (written test) of my Psych Exam and made appointment for step 2 (40 mins interview with psychiatrist).

There are 4 tests: CPI, PAI, PsyQ, and STAXI. Takes roughly 2 hours depending on how quickly you can read/answer.

It's a Zoom meeting with one proctor and multiple candidates. Candidates' webcam and screen share are on at all times.

Unclever "trick question" about road rage - "Describe the last altercation you had with a driver on the road" Also "Describe the last physical altercation you had with someone"

Overall, pretty straight forward. Glad to see they seem to be taking this seriously.

Agreed. Appreciated their professionalism and were straight to the point. Helped answer questions I had too.

I forgot to mention above, I asked my interviewer if I can add firearms at a later time if I receive my permit. Mine said if I get my permit and want to add another firearm to my permit later down the road, you have to call a specific number listed on the CCW permit card to initiate that process. Afterwards, you do the qualifications and it will be added. Wasn?t clear if they give you a new card or list it on your current one

Did my Interview earlier today. Went fairly smooth. Expect to be asked a mix of questions from your CCW app and personal questions. If you have CCWs from out of state, bring it with you. My interviewer mentioned to check your emails within a week or 2 for follow ups to do the psych eval (or get a deny response)

There were multiple interviewers today which was a pleasant surprise. Seemed like they allocated some admins to help with the interview process.

Just a heads up for anyone going today in the morning: The entrance to the sheriffs office is closed on Younger Ave. A VTA light rail knocked one of the overhead lines so the entrance to the main parking lot is closed off (As of 8:50AM today). There’s parking available across the street or find metered parking.

It may have been fixed by this time, but it should be done for sure by the afternoon

I had mine last Tuesday, so it's been a week... been refreshing my email and Permitium with no updates yet. I may wait another day and give them a call to see whats up.
Just keep an eye on your email, my Permitium status hasn't changed since submitting the application back in February. The subject of my scheduling email was "**Action Required - Schedule CCW Appointment**" and came directly from the psych eval provider. I have not received any application status updates from Permitium or the sheriff since after the interview.

Could I list the glock 23 as a .40 cal/.357 sig/9x19 and still have two slots for other pistols?
You're probably overthinking this..... the application lets you list 3 discrete firearm serial numbers. Simple as that.

If the visitor lot is full, your only real choice is metered parking on the street or the courthouse parking lot a couple blocks away (paid, iirc). Be advised they are VERY VERY VERY aggressive with parking enforcement in this area (surprise!), so keep that in mind.
