I made a request for the names of applicants who have been approved and checked against the initial application dates.

There have been 50 approved applications in 2023 so far:

        21 applications from 2/16
        8 applications from 2/17
        2 applications from 2/19
        1 application from 2/20, 2/21, 2/22, 2/24, 2/27, 3/1, 3/4, 3/7, 3/11, 3/13, 3/20, 3/21, 3/29, 4/5, 4/14, 4/21, 4/27, 5/1, and 6/9

I checked whether applications made after 4/14 were for new licenses or renewals by comparing the names against a list of issued CCWs pre-2023.

The applications from 4/14, 4/21, 5/1, and 6/9 are renewals.

The application from 4/27 was for a new ccw. Very suspicious since this was submitted after the mass interview dates yet got approved so quickly. I am concerned there is special circumstance or favoritism involved.

I was not provided interview dates or dates of approval, so I can only assume the other new applications interviewed on or before 4/12.

Interesting. I submitted my application on 2/24. My interview date was 4/12 (originally 11/28 but rescheduled during interviewgate)

I am approved and paid for but I have yet to pick it up....still waiting on the call to do so.

If there's a few permits issued ahead of everyone else its not necessarily favoritism. It's possible some people had cause to submit an emergency CCW application. Don't forget how dire the situation was before Bruen and/or Laurie's ousting and civil judgement. Absolutely no permits were going out except her buddies. Or wealthy/influential people. There could easily be a number of folks with emergency applications in the pipeline.

The new sheriff opened the door for new applications on February 16. Today is more than six months later. 1500 people have applied and 50 permits have been issued. It is impossible to justify or make excuses for this snail's pace. The only reasoning can be that the sheriff is either completely incompetent or is intentionally slow rolling the process. Period. End of story.

Wow. 1,500 applicants and only 50 permits issued in 6 months?

                      That's incredible.

From the public records request act to the sheriff. Names, application dates and issuance dates of all 1500 and the same info for the 50 issued.

There is no link. It is a public records request to the Sheriff. And I won't distribute it. I think it's BS the government publicly shares the names of concealed weapons holders. Puts us all at risk.
