lol how does that even make sense? even if they had one person doing 1 eval a day, there aren't enough applicants right now to justify anything over a 2 year wait.

Wow after trying to email and call the CCW unit at the SO for the past 2 months, I finally got a response to my email.
I had emailed about my status since my LiveScan completed on 6/7 for firearms.

It does not appear that we have received them from DOJ yet. Once we receive it from DOJ themselves, we will move you forward in the process.

Is there a way to find out from DOJ if they actually sent it or not... other than it just saying "Completed" on the DOJ site??

Same. Just got an email to schedule the psych test. The system shows no appointments for the next 3 years through August of 2026.

got the same email, nothing to schedule there for nearest future, FPC report sent as well. it's a "scheduled" delay /denial

BTW, my nephew got his CCW, no eval, 8hrs training. in LA .

I'm inclined to give them the benefit of the doubt, but it's still annoying that they'd send out emails to schedule appointments without even confirming appointments could be scheduled.

unless you’re a convicted felon. Then they’ll let you out of jail early, let recidivist offenders go free with little/to no bail, and then try to jam up regular folks.

Today it’s the training and psyche evals, tomorrow it’ll be something else.

I'm with the others as well: got the notification to schedule my Psych Test Appointment but no availability. Went as far as 2030 to find nothing.

That's odd. Previously it seemed like they were sending psych appointment emails in order of when you did the interview, but now it seems like they batched them up by some other metric seeing as there's people who interviewed before you but didn't get the email. Wonder what's going on.

I had the same issue of not being able to see any available dates for setting an appointment. Went out to 10 years and no luck lol. I replied back to the email and explained what I was experiencing. The reply back to me said, “Please check the link you were provided with again, there will be more slots open starting today and throughout the week.” I immediately did that and found dates at the end of September and the first 2 weeks of October. I didn’t bother looking past that since I wanted to get the psych eval scheduled asap.

Third party or not, the requirement is unconstitutional and should not be hampering the exercise of our rights.

I have no need for tin foil. Perhaps you may benefit by pulling the wool off your eyes.
