    Bay area county?????
Did the salt water come that far up the delta?
Did the earthquake happen, and half of California fell into the ocean?
Lake Tahoe the new "valley"? Lol

In this liberal state, it won't be long that San Joaquin county will follow suit. Liberal policies and agendas have a "creeping" effect.
When this county does change its policies, many that think this wait is acceptable will have a rude awakening. Especially the ones the just forked out a ton of money and went through the wait process, only to be told no more renewals........

    13+ month wait is rediculous!!!!!!!

Put in app and had initial interview on 10/15/15 got a call today from an investigator asking about employment status, wanting a utility bill and a copy of my current other state ccw. He said everything seemed fine and I would hear something in about a month.

Just a quick update after my renewal appointment:

The appointment went well. The investigator went over my application with me and told me that my changing employment shouldn't have any bearing on my renewal. He instructed me to enroll in a class and be ready for the call in a few weeks. He did tell me that if I'm approved, to wait until the week before my current expiration to pick up the permit. His reasoning was that I paid for two years and not to cut that short.

    He was actually very pleasant.

    *Update

Got an email from the background investigator a few minutes ago.

"I completed your folder and forwarded up the chain. You should hear something in a few weeks – At that time, enroll in one of the Sheriff’s approved courses."

Hopefully I hear back soon so I can enroll in a course ASAP!

So here's my experience with my first renewal so far...

    Set to Expire 9/23
    • 5/23 - reInterview
    • 7/21 - Call asking about Employer Policy clarification 7/21
    • 8/15 - Reapproval 8/15
    • 8/19 - 4 Hour Advanced CCW Training

Waiting until either 9/13-9/14 OR 9/20-9/21 to actually renew for maximum coverage

The investigator did make a point of telling mama not to be in a hurry and wait until mid Nov. to pick up her permit. That gives me plenty of time to get her another gun...😠

Background investigator said he needed a utility bill from me, emailed it back to him ASAP. After that he said he was going to put it on the sheriff's desk. *Fingers Crossed* I know my record is clean but still..
    Very cool! Good for you!
Sure hope you get some kind of response from them quicker than they are working on mine.
Going to start taking bets if mine runs into 13 months........ lol
