You probably have a long way to go before being contacted. Average turn around is about 9 months. I wouldn't waste your's or the investigator's time reaching out this early in the game.

Be patient and you will get your permit.

May 13th first interview and still waiting. just hit my 9 month mark. Got a call on jan 29th asking questions about knowing a few people. I have never heard of any of the names I was asked about. Later that day I got a message from my boss at work and they also called my work asking questions about me. Never had any trouble with the law (only two speeding tickets. one since has dropped off from the 5 year mark). Friend applied same day and was approved over a month ago. Still have my fingers crossed and CONGRATS TO SLIPKNOT!

On 1-22, Silvessuble said they were working on May 20th applications. 21 days later they are working on June 18th. In three weeks they have moved forward nearly a month. does that mean they are moving faster?

Just got my call as well. Interviewed 6/18. Interviewer requested a copy of my AZ ccw and work place due arms policy. Also mentioned that a pistol on my app was not registered with DOJ. I'm active military stationed here. I was under the impression that I was exempt as a hand gun importer, but to have it on my license I need to register it. Also asked about my multiple traffic citations (4 since 2003). Hopefully it's not enough to disqualify me. We shall see.

Well, since there is no law that states a CCW holder can not carry at work, I see potential legal issues for him if he places restrictions on permits for this reason. I happen to know they issued a permit with no restrictions to a person having the same employer as myself.

Mine states no restrictions even though my work specifies no weapons...I still don't carry at work

Curious about the 'carrying at work' theme that shows up throughout this thread:

    1) When I originally applied, there is a spot somewhere on the app that explicitly asks whether you intend to carry at work. I believe my initial response was NO, I do not intend to carry at work.

    2) During my first point of contact with the investigator, they asked for a copy of my employee handbook, to which I provided. In looking at the language of the handbook regarding firearms in the workplace, it vaguely defines "unless lawfully authorized", [firearms] are prohibited in the workplace. I would assume that the possession of an LTC constitutes 'lawful authorization'?

    3) Upon receiving my permit, it is marked as "Standard" and there are NO restrictions listed.

With all of this in mind--if I wanted to carry at work, is there a reason why my particular situation would not allow for it?

I had a speeding ticket over 5 years ago and a passing on a double yellow like 14 years ago. I'm 39. They also check RIMS for LEO contacts as well.
