The "system" gave me a choice of dates, none earlier than that. I hope you're right! Stay tuned, it said I should have an e-mail in a week.

Is there any time to change the three guns listed between now and the end of the process? I'd really like to score a slim 9mm (read G43) instead of my G42, but again I'll just accept whatever comes my way I suppose. It sucks we have to be complacent about such things here, the sunshine tax indeed.

YES, Guns do not become permanent until the class date.

        Yep.
I mentioned that I had a change from what I had submitted on the app and she said that it didn't matter... the interviewer didn't even look at that page.
It used to matter, as your guns were inspected at the time of the interview.
The building is now a gun free zone if you are not a deputy and guns are not to be brought to the interview.
The first (and hopefully only) time anyone from the department will see your gun is just before you start poking holes in paper.

If you pass the interview, you'll go back to the front desk and get the paperwork for the Livescan and photo.
After that, you return to the counter and finalize everything. They will give you an instruction info sheet for the class and a fresh form for your 3 listed guns.

I changed my mind no less than 50 times during that 7 months.
One gun listed, I actually purchased after I found out that I had passed background... picked it up the day before I was called with my range date.

Once you attend the class, that's it until renewal.
They used to allow changes in listed weapons once between renewals, but they've been going crazy with applications and classes now, and since a change requires a fresh range session and is only $15 (in addition to processing time), they are now only allowing changes at time of renewal.

I appreciate the help/advice/tips guys, thank you. I'll be sure to help out anyway I can along the journey as you have by posting my experiences throughout.

That gives me time to score a G43, good news.

All indications are that those employed in the issuing counties are professional and in many (most?) cases pro-gun/pro-CCW.

Okay, I got my e-mail already... all it says it that I have successfully scheduled an appointment for 9/7/2016. Do you think that might change between now and then, or is that likely that last I'll hear?

                    Thank you,
                    Lance

I got my email and after I entered the pin and SSN I got this...

"Currently No Appointments are available, you will get an email with instructions to set an appointment soon."

                      This sucks.

I didn't get any place to enter a pin or SSN? My e-mail simply said this: Dear Lance, You have successfully scheduled a ccw interview on 09/07/2016 9:00 AM . Please ensure you follow the instructions and bring all of the required documents, forms, and money orders to the interview.

It didn't take at all when I went to originally select a interview date. It wouldn't go to the next step. So I never chose a date. My email said "Dear Raymond, We have received your ccw application, however we were unable to schedule a ccw interview. Please visit the following link https://sbcsdccw.azurewebsites.net/m...pre_missed.asp to schedule your interview. You will need the following pin to complete the process. PIN =xxxxxx." but after I did all this I still couldn't select a date.

Well I guess in that case I should feel pretty good about September!

                            Seriously, that sucks.

I only got the error when scheduling interview portion. It wouldn't let me select a date/time. Then when I hit the back button I got the same as you that ssn already in database. You should receive an email within a week that'll let you know they received your application. As far as the scheduling I'm still having troubles.
