What I would like to know is...Since having my Livescan done on Dec 7th I haven't received my approval from Sac sheriff? I checked the Automated Ph. # and it said the agency (SSD) got the results.. I guess it's just a waiting game? I've already done my 16 hour course.Comment

Usually takes about 20-30 days before you hear back. They receive electronic results relatively quick, however they wait for the physical letter. Then when they receive that they process you and send you a letter. With all the holidays and number of people. scanning. You should hear back soon.Comment

Just as an FYI, this isn't posted on Sac County's website anywhere.
If anything happens with a weapon on your CCW, SAC County wants to know immediately.
If sold, tell them. Probably need copy of bill of sale.
If stolen or lost, tell them and get a copy of the report from the Department you reported it to. They will not look in the AFS system to check and telling a city Police Dept is not sufficient.
Without that, they will not process your application.Comment

The very first sentence to the first post of this thread has a link to http://calgunsfoundation.org/index.p...122-sacramento which includes two known good cause statements that have worked.Comment

I just wanted to thank a lot of you for offering up this information that allowed me ot get the ball rolling on this process. I have a rather squeaky clean record overall but one thing that worried me is the possibility of a warrant being out for any past tickets I have ever over looked.
Last thing I want to do is show up thinking I am doing my CCW interview and wind up in cuffs because of an old ticket. my license was just renewed (literally) so its obviously not suspended but still I can think of possibly 1 ticket that vanished lol.
Anyone know if there is a way for me to look up or find out this information rather than the second det. informing me during his interview?Comment

I maybe wrong (someone correct me), but you may contact the CA DOJ and request your own Criminal Records check http://oag.ca.gov/fingerprints/security. $25, and it will tell you everything you need to know.I just wanted to thank a lot of you for offering up this information that allowed me ot get the ball rolling on this process. I think also there is a way to get your DMV records; I think this info is buried in this thread somewhere as well.
EDIT: Here is the info on getting the DMV stuff, not sure if it will list all the stuff that you need:
Good luck!Comment
