To update the info I posted. I did hear back from a Sgt today, she tells me they do have my application and are extremely busy. They are looking at 6 month lead times right now.

She also told me the payment is now handled by someone at OCSD calling for a CC number when the time comes.

Someone from their technical staff reset my password, so the tracker works for me now. I had done this previously already, not sure why the password reset worked for him and not me.

    Nope, 0 communication from them.

I tried calling also, their phone number, just tells you to email them. So I did, and am just waiting for a response

I applied for my 3rd renewal and am still in limbo, with permit expiring in 10 days...

Emails to OCSD have gone unanswered, and as of this morning the order tracker no longer recognizes my info.

Does anyone know if they are just mailing the licenses out without notifying the license holders now?

I did and they told me "Amendments just like renewals can take anywhere between 4-6 month" . I'm not in a rush as I have other carry guns, but I just thought it was odd that it was so slow just for an amendment.

I actually now just received an email stating that the interview has been rescheduled to Sept 1 of this year.

Yes - what's up with 2029? I submitted my app today and the next available appointment was January, 2029. That can't be right.

She said they typically issue CCW's to people whose GC statements say they travel in sketchy areas for work, or are avid outdoorsmen hiking where there are dangerous animals like mountain lions.

She said she called me advise I withdraw the application in order to not receive a formal denial that would be a red flag on any application that came after. I stated I would resubmit with additional information and she said to give it some time before resubmitting. I said I would resubmit in a week she said that is not enough time. I asked if a month was long enough and she said she cannot advise on adequate timelines.

I am under the impression she will formally deny me at her leisure moving forward.

I was told that "There are ways of seeking protection other than carrying a firearm"

One of the gangbangers I have an RO against was let out of prison early due to Proposition 57 and killed two people this year

This is a big shift from my previous experience when OCSD had the pre-Permitium system.

also, for the livescan would we just make an appt with any of the available locations listed on the OCSD website?

    thanks
If you have a clean record and can pass a background check, then yes, complete the livescan beforehand.

If your background is questionable and/or your GC needs more work, you can wait until they ask you to complete the livescam.

Yes, any livescam service will suffice.
