Called on 9/16 around 11AM. checked all folders / deleted and nada.

This exact thing happened to me...I never got an email. I just showed up at the location and the time the deputy told me and all was good. Did they tell you where your interview was?

Should I email my cert elsewhere too?

Nah man just send to the deputy that asked for it. Seems like deputies are cooler lately about telling people just to just do their training. It's gotta be a good sign, right?

OK homies. So my deputy asked that I revise my GC slightly and requested that I email it to him. I did. I also included my training cert.

Should I email my cert elsewhere too?

He told me to go ahead with training but wasn't clear where I should send the completion.

When the applicant has completed their firearm training course, send a copy of the completed and signed Shooting Proficiency form to CCW_Unit@lasd.org . The CCW Coordinator will contact the applicant to schedule a pick-up date for their license to carry a concealed weapon.

Send your training certs to the above. Your interviewing deputy may or may not remember to forward it to them. Good luck.

Parking is easy. Drive your nice car. I would suggest no bumper stickers and if it hasn't been cleaned in a couple months, clean it. Arrive early.

Congratulations on getting to the interview. Bring any supporting documentation that's relevant to your good cause.

Park near the little stand alone South Whittier Education Center building. West most part of lot. They call your phone when to come in. They called me about 5 minutes late, so before then, I called them and emailed just to make sure. Phone numbers and email in your email.

I'm happy to see the steady stream of "I got my appointment" posts, and sad to see that people are still claiming AV isn't issuing.

For me, under "V's" current criteria. It is still, NEVER and IMPOSSIBLE, as it is for the overwhelming majority of the 10.3 million citizens that inhabit LA Cnty.

Have you applied? If you've put in the effort to make a serious and thoughtful application, and you've been denied, then I accept that. If you're just saying, "I'm not going to apply because I'll never get it", while there are obvsiously dozens of others posting in this thread who have gotten it, with good cause that's probably no more than what you have, then... well, you're not serious about getting a CCW.

V has improved CCW availability ONLY for a few, Assuredly NOT THE MANY.

He's created a CCW unit. People are getting issued! People with "light green" level good cause! Light green level good cause could apply to nearly everyone.

BullPuckey ................. V has issued what, less than 1,000 for a population of 10.3 MILLION.

Because a) issuance process is slow b) it takes quite a bit of effort and commitment and c) people aren't aware of it and d) people keep on saying he's not issuing. "Look at how low the issuance numbers are, so I won't apply!"

Why don't you spend the $10 and make a carefully thought out application and then if you get denied, tell us about it?

And by his own words is NOT GOING to ALLOW ordinary citizens to carry guns. ONLY those that meet his OWN heightened need criteria.

I'm so tired of seeing this on this thread, while seeing plenty of others who have very ordinary lives and circumstances are getting issued.

And his homeless bums in Venice photo ops were nothing more than a thumbed nose to the BoS. He actually DID NOTHING.

I realize that. He can't actually get anything done without a prosecutor to stick charges on the bums he arrests. As the lone voice of sanity his powers are limited.

Your interview date won't be until probably April of 2022. I would wait on doing your training

4/14 - mailed application
4/15 - application received
4/30 - money order cashed
6/14 - emailed them about possibly amending my application
6/15 - received email saying my application was received and that I would have a chance to explain further to investigator during interview
9/9 - missed call for interview
9/9 - called back and scheduled interview
9/22 - interview
9/22 - live scan initiated
9/22 - CA portion of live scan completed

9/23 FBI portion of live scan complete
