This is what I get for going with the cheapest option I could find that also was nearby, I guess. If I go tomorrow and they argue with me about this, I'm going to just get my money back and take someone else's class. I haven't even gotten the "proceed with training" call yet, so it shouldn't hurt in terms of timeline.

Still no call for interview, but I decided to do my live scan a few weeks ago to get it done before I started my internship (Aerospace industry, @lockdown hmu) and it fully completed maybe last week. I emailed the CCW unit (first time) to tell them I went ahead and did the livescan for the mentioned reason and give them my ATI # even though I haven’t gotten called for an interview yet. They responded the same morning just saying “hi yes your apps been received and you’ll be contacted when your case is assigned to an investigator.”

Like yes, thanks, but I didn’t email for an update lol. Are we sure it’s a real person reviewing these emails? Because there was no mention/confirmation of receiving my ATI # or adding it to my file or anything.

@Seaweed I actually received a receipt with my approval letter on pick up. It was dated the day my application was received.

As 9Cal said, it shouldn't matter. Just bring the livescan form showing the ATI # to your investigator and he'll put it all in a filef or you.

Bit of a wrench thrown into my plans to do training this Saturday.

The provider, Concealed Coalition, is saying you have to do the training in the county where you live. I live in Whittier, which is LA county but right near the OC border, and signed up to do the training at FT3 tactical which is closest to me but technically in Orange County.

I don't think it's actually a rule that you have to do the training in the same county, as plenty of the LASD's approved training providers (including Concealed Coalition) have classes in Orange County. Nothing on LASD's CCW website says anything about such a rule. I've emailed the deputy who interviewed me to ask, hopefully she gets back to me in time.

Anyone have any insight on this?

Hey guys, give me an idea of what my GC chances look like. Basically, I work for a public school district, in maintenance, but I also do side work. Sometimes in not so public spaces. My job isn't a matter of national security like Lockdown's so I guess I have a small PP.
