Just to add a little more information for others. Both my wife and I applied same day. The time line is as follows:
Applied 6/24
Scanned 6/25
CA b/g 7/8
FBI b/g7/6
Firearms8/4
She was approved on 8/31. I didn't receive any notice yet. She missed the initial call and received an email and a text to pay the remaining fee. She scheduled the range qualifications when she got a call back to remind her to set up a appt on 9/7. She was able to set up an appointment for 10/23. She emailed to ask about the holsters and a officer instructed her to bring a good quality holster and said it didn't matter if it was IWB or OWB. She decided she is going to bring OWB because she think it's easier and less stressful to qualify with. She asked the person on the phone about my application and was told "...moving through the chain of command." Hope this hopes clear up somethings for you guys
My Qual class is on 10/16. Can you confirm your 10/23 appt? I thought they were only doing 1 class per month at the moment.

Yep. They've been using Permitium for some time now. It's just that they've been used to instantly rejecting applications instead of actually processing them.Leave a comment:

The SO is indeed using Permitium. See here: https://sanmateoca.permitium.com/ccw/startLeave a comment:

Here’s to hoping Monday starts off with a barrage of acceptance notices….Leave a comment:

Stunning the SO didn't sign up for Permitium software- that's what lots and lots of agencies are using for CCW programs. Its web based, intuitive but a little klunky (you'll get through it) including renewals.Leave a comment:

I just called the Sheriff's department to see if they've added additional Range Qualification classes. I was told that they added 1 additional class in October which is now filled, but have not added any new classes for November or December. I then asked if I would need to call back if additional classes were scheduled, she said no. My current class is in February, if a new class is added in November, she said those already scheduled would be notified in order and moved up to the new spots. So likely my spot would only move up to January, possibly December, if at all.Leave a comment:

Perhaps. If they are actively trying to add more courses in the coming months, I don't think it's wise to schedule people just to reschedule them at a later date. That would take more time and resources from them when they could be processing apps, backgrounds, interviews, etc. And there are definitely a good amount of applicants who are not posting on CG.Leave a comment:
