Noobie, I?m with you that things are inconsistent, and have taken awhile. August 1st app myself and while I know I?m still months, hopefully not years away, still look fwd to checking this thread every couple days to hear/see some of the news being shared- the insight, the pickups, success stories etc.

Us 2A folk need to stick together, not turn on each other right now. Maybe take a break, but don?t give up on this thread. If I?m being honest, I think the process is about to get much longer for those who applied in July and later vs the 10+ months for the bruen applicants, as that?s when the volume of apps really took off. Will be interesting to see their monthly reported pickups to Kostas as I suspect it?s going to fall of a cliff here shortly.
Agree, everyone needs to take it down a notch or two. If you waited a while to apply and got behind a 2K backlog of applicants, good luck it will take a while. I was patient and went through the process and finally got mine, 8 months plus, but I had been waiting for over thirty years, I could live with the additional months. Good luck to all, please try to keep it civil, especially since at least two people have gotten their permits already.

It's all about what rights (1st, 2nd, 4th, 5th) you, personally, are comfortable with giving up. Most of these questions had to do with your 4th and 5th Amendments rights (as well as 2nd). When governments infringe on those rights without pushback, then it becomes policy for them. For example, it was the ACSO's policy to ask for the total number and serial #s of all your firearms. If you gave that info to them, then you voluntarily gave up your 4th and 5th Amendments rights to that information.

well said.. I too was very reluctant in sending in photos of my safe.. quite literally Vinnie told me something along the lines of.. (if you don't send the photo you will risk jeopardizing getting your permit. you choose what's more important to you.).. he was right.. I thought it over and sent the photo.. of the outside of my safe, not opened.

with that being said, I was fully aware of the questions I was going to be asked during the interview and I was OK with answering them.. Hell.. I even went in wearing a business casual suit.. this was serious for me and it is still that important to me.

in the end of the day, we were.. and still are.. in this together.. a lot more good guys with guns are out there now.. its paramount we stick together and stay ontop of things so we can keep things on track and morally do what's right when needed.

FYI - I was one of three plaintiffs onboard with the CPA/Michels litigation.

I already told you what I said to them. Interpret it anyway you want, I really don't give a $***** what you think or how you interpret it.

Also spoke up during my range qual when the officer told us we can only qualify as new applicants with one firearm and told him he was wrong. He called a short break and came back and told us that we could in fact qualify with two weapons as initial applicants. Don't lie on the psych eval, they'll know and figure it out, but you don't have to be a spineless cuck.

You can stand on principle or you can get your permit, your choice. But, you can't have both, at least not yet. I say this as someone who has gone through the process and been issued a permit.

Ah, so you are still assuming they are following the rules? All I told them was it's my constitutional right, nothing more.

True, at least not anymore as we as all know they questioned the hell out of you prior to that.
