So if I'm an average citizen, who wishes to carry occasionally for self defense, would now be the time to apply?
        Looking for a 3" Magnum 870 $200-$250ish

Doesn't look like it. I'm betting someone *hint hint CGF* will need to sue Alameda County before they update their policies.

from what ive read, even though the sheriff is anti 2a, he will issue once peruta is finalized (not that he really has a choice at that point)

Okay, I am no longer in Alameda but I need a good pick me up. What is the number I can call to listen to this? I just might have to record this to keep around.

Oh, I have good Google-fu to day and found it. Not as good as I had hoped. I do so hope the line starts forming soon for application.

Does anyone know what they will accept for the training requirement?

I just called to listen to the recording. The mention of the privilege was insulting. ...

I have a question for you all regarding the fees. I'm going to send in my application soon, and wasn't clear on the fees. The ALCO doesn't list what they are, but sure do say they need to be paid. Can anyone outline exactly what those fees are, and how much they are, apart from the licensing one listed in their policy?

After I read it a few times, it seems you need to send in the AlCo fee ($100) and the DOJ fee ($95) with the initial app. Anyone see this differently?
