and all of us that applied will be super glad that it did because it is taking way too long for something that should normally only take a few months like in other CA counties.

Are you a plaintiff or just trolling? Are you a CRPA member? Do you currently hold a CCW in Alameda County or have in a pending application? What have you done to assist in the process?

Shot my qualification (two guns) at Livermore Rod and Gun on Sunday. Sent the cert off to ACSO. Getting close to the end!!!

Another shout-out to Joe and Archie at LEO Defensive Concepts. Great outfit. Took my CCW class with them and will be back for more training!

I pay taxes and expect the dbags in law enforcement to follow the law and should not have to be a member of some organization etc. Like I said, with a 9 month plus turnaround, I have moved to a constitutional carry state.

So why even bother participating in this thread if you don't even live in CA anymore, let alone live in Alameda County? You're not contributing anything positive or helpful while many of us are and are trying to change things for the better.

Applied on 6/25 and had interview in November. Zero progress since and 7 emails were never replied to. Finally got my attorney to contact them and it seems that one of the interviewers gave birth and the other interviewer had their own workload. So the unlucky people who were interviewed by the pregnant deputy were essentially left in limbo and put to the side until they found time. Apparently my application just came across the sheriff's desk and so have been told to wait until contacted for next step. 5 months and not even scheduled for livescan. A complete joke! So my attorney is following up again for expected timeliness for those "forgotten" about. So we will say what they say but those limbo applications should be prioritized. Not holding my breath though.

How did your attorney contact them? Email, phone, postal mail, or in person?

By email and the suddenly Judea emailed me at 9.00pm last night. And I was also told that any that were "left behind" were not going to be prioritized. They will be "being processed fairly like everybody else?s". Not exactly fair when they were essentially left on the shelf for months.

my questions on the timing are appropriate as well as my disatisfaction with the sheriff continuing to shaft those that applied. sounds like your happy to have been shafted

Yeah, was a bit involved. First they patted me down then they took me into a room and had me wait for a while. After that they escorted me to another room where they had me submit a urine specimen and then did a strip search and had me walk like a duck (have no idea what that was about). After that they seemed satisfied and had me submit a finger print and signed the permit, received my copies and was on my way.

Just kidding. It was very quick and straight-forward. Signed the permit, submitted a fingerprint and given a paper copy, a wallet size card and sort of 3x5 card that looks like it was created on a typewriter back in the 70’s that they laminated for me. Person who helped me was very nice (not sure if it was a deputy or some other ACSO employee). Said they now have over 2,000 applicants.
