Received an email from Officer Garcia to pickup my CCW license on August 7. Almost there! BTW, I went with Nationwide CCW for training. Convenient location with gated onsite parking if you're in the North Hollywood/Burbank/Studio City area. Doesn't charge for 2nd and 3rd gun. Firearms testing was done at Oak Tree.

06-28-23 Submitted name for In-person interview
07-01-24 Interview and application drop off
07-18-24 Completed training and submitted documentation (took a chance)
08-12-24 LAPD approval via text
08-29-24 Text that Permit is ready for pick up
09-05-24 Pickup date

Hmm, LAPD changed sequence-probably because it falls close to holiday weekend. They do it all the time.

yea sure, LAPD called me about a month and half ago asking for my email address. the officer was kind and friendly and told me that they are starting to work with permitium and they need an email on file so that they can send me the onboarding link in a month or so.

i still haven’t received any link from them but i saw another post on reddit where some guy did receive his link.

i’ll keep updating here with my process as i progress.

Unfortunately, there is no way to find out. I was trying to keep track and update here, but people stop posting here and I have no other sources to follow up. I would suggest to say around 12-14 months interview from day of put in line. About year ago old commander made youtube video that they issue about 250 permits in a month. Line, in rough calculations and report on January 2023 was about 2500-3000 ahead. This is why I think it is 12 to 14 months. But it changing dynamically and totally different now.

i was placed on the waiting list in beginning of november and still haven’t gotten the call. should come within the next month or so. yours should come in about 2 months or so. hang in there bro!

Nothing I heard of and I am checking all sources. Nobody reporting anything
