Sept 9 interview, completed training already, nothing yet, references have not been contacted.

They are still getting caught up on applications ahead of yours. Did all of your livescans clear ? did you already submit training cert and qualification to CCW unit or investigator and receive conformation they got it ?

Yes, firearms portion (which takes the longest to clear) cleared on 8/21/24. Already submitted training cert and qualification at time of interview 9/9/24. Uploaded all the documentation on Permitium to make sure they have everything.

I did my class and live scan prior to my interview. I didn’t ask. I knew I was clean and it would be issued.
When it comes up for renewal, I’ll complete a class and live scan 110-100 days prior to renewal and submit 100-95 days prior to renewal, they have 90 days to issue or deny.
i just hope before my renewal, that they allow more than 3 on a permit. I’d like to add a revolver or three.

Last count, May 2024, 1,400.

Well, we still do not know how to apply for renewal. I mean exact step by step. They do not offer any more call to put in line, only emails.

Ok looks like all you have to do is wait for approval letter but they may call or email you before the letter comes.

That is way too early. Oct 2022 was LAPD to start accepting apps. We should hear in about two months.

My renewal is coming up in April of next year. I plan on emailing them in late Dec/Early Jan to see what the process is and how long it should take.
