Thats 2.66 per 1,000 residents for San Diego County….
Assuming current trends continue, when can we expect SDSO to pass 10,000? 20,000? To become #1 county in number of CCWs?

I think they are also trying to somewhat time it for renewals to be, somewhat, close to your renewal date. I had all my stuff in way early this last go round and they waited until two weeks before my expiration to approve me. The permit came about a week later but was dated for the week prior when they approved it. This means I essentially paid my hard earned money for two weeks worth of a CCW permit that I will never get to use.

And this may seem like a small thing but given the expense and that the permits are only good for two stinking years, I want the full amount of time that I pay for! I don't understand why they can't simply renew your permit in accordance with your current expiration date. I'm sure it's because of some dumb legal reason but it ain't right!

Standard is civilian, Judicial is for judges, and Reserve is for reserve LEO.

I was reading about the application process in San Diego county. There it mentioned 3 types of licenses; standard 2 year, judicial 3 year, reserve 4 year. Anyone knows the difference other than the fees. Tried but couldn't find any information.

    Thanks in advance.

    Nevermind. Found the info. Thanks.

Yes. I know it's scary, but you will have an opportunity to confirm. Haha

L84CABO has good advice, I might add, check 3-10x per day... we improved our apt date by 6 months

Don't give up, make it part of your routine and Good Luck

He is leaving Saturday morning to go out of town for a few days so try and get a hold of him as quickly as possible

SDSO CCW Currently Issued 8784 as of 12/22/22 (overall Δ per day: +4.34; last ~6m Δ per day: +10.19).

Thats 2.66 per 1,000 residents for San Diego County.

By way of comparison, in 2019 San Diego was at 0.34, and Shasta was at 45.5. Among counties with comparable populations, in 2019 Orange County was at 3.73, Riverside at 1.24, and San Bernardino at 3.24.

Foototes: During late 2022 there were some fluctuations in the reported figures. The update of 24 Jun. also included an acknowledgement of NYSRPA v. Bruen and some related commentary. The update of 16 Jul. changed the number reported from "Current CCW Licenses Issued" to "CCW Licenses Active" and the figure dropped by about 10%. The update of 18 Jul. (only two days later) changed the language again, to "Total CCW Licenses Active" and the figure recovered about 5%. The update of 25 Aug. recovered about another 5%, returning the data point to roughly in line with the previous trend.

Just got a call from sherifs office. I reached out with my concerns about not getting my certificate from DFT.

As long as it’s dated before the 31st, they will accept it. Funny thing is, I am not the only one with this issue. Seems other have called in and asked. DTF is still listed as an approved training facility for CCW’s. Wish they would at least update their voicemails or send email blast that they are out of town or experiencing some delays.

Definitely not using them again lol.
