Interesting, didn't know that as he and I exchanged emails early Dec as I was trying to get signed up and to better understand the AZ cert process.

I have a new firearm to Qual with to get added to my original cert from Shane so I guess I'm stuck unless I want to go through a permit mod after the fact. If he doesn't respond then I may not have a choice

Good luck all and let us know

Maybe reach out to Morgan to see if he knows what's up with Shane.
    I just emailed Morgan.

I’m sure someone here has taken their course. I’ve heard good things about them that’s why I took it. Also, they provided the online 8 hour course, I guess that’s what happens when I try to get away from sitting in a class for 8 hours.

I’ll be taking a new class with Peter. $350 for a CCW certificate smh

Now to be fair, he has been down very hard with covid, didn't bounce back very well apparently.

My recommendation is to not give up on him but do keep after him

Might also try reaching out to Morgan at DTF, morgan@defensivetacticsandfirearms.com

BTW, every phone option within DTF goes to Shane's vmail

And lastly, their hybrid course (self paced, online) ends 12/31/22 per the SD Sheriff, they must go back to 8 hours in person. If you have a class signed up in Jan... per Shane it won't by hybrid. They haven't updated their website yet to reflect the change.

^^^^ This. Not at $200 a class. Also out the instructor/class so nobody else gets screwed by this guy. There's no earthly reason why the certificate shouldn't have been issued at the end of class.

I think he is a vietnam vet that is of course retired, and doesn't really care about the $ for CCW, but just wants more ppl to have them, so makes himself available whenever. He sent me my CCW form the day I took the class via email (PDF) but had a hard copy for me when I showed up (pre-printed) but had to modify since I didn't want one pistol on it. Anyhow just sayin'

Got my license in the mail Wednesday. Yeah.
As a side note did my class at PWG. Very well done. Not a sleeper. Great info and David Bucsit was terrific. I highly recommend.
