Oops! Scheduled my training for 6/8 which is around day 80 after my appointment. If it is an additional 60 I should be okay as the cert will be within the 90 days it's supposed to be good for...fingers crossed.

I managed to get my appointment on 3/20 after filling out my application on 3/3. Been trying to fast track this as much as I can. Kind of frustrating as I have a FFL with a COE, and on the exemption list..I think my background has been checked - and checked - and checked again already...

Bleg: if you know current issued counts for OC, Riverside, or Berdoo, please let me know. I'd really like to update those to current for comparison.

SDSO CCW Currently Issued 12211 as of 5/25/23 (overall Δ per day: +5.83; last ~6m Δ per day: +20.80).

Thats 3.70 per 1,000 residents for San Diego County.

By way of comparison, in 2019 San Diego was at 0.34, and Shasta was at 45.5. Among counties with comparable populations, in 2019 Orange County was at 3.73, Riverside at 1.24, and San Bernardino at 3.24.

Foototes: During late 2022 there were some fluctuations in the reported figures. The update of 24 Jun. also included an acknowledgement of NYSRPA v. Bruen and some related commentary. The update of 16 Jul. changed the number reported from "Current CCW Licenses Issued" to "CCW Licenses Active" and the figure dropped by about 10%. The update of 18 Jul. (only two days later) changed the language again, to "Total CCW Licenses Active" and the figure recovered about 5%. The update of 25 Aug. recovered about another 5%, returning the data point to roughly in line with the previous trend. Beginning with the Jan. 2023 update, the data from Jul. 2022 onward is highlighted.

CA county data sourced from https://web.archive.org/web/20210817...32198382.html; if you have more recent data, please let me know.

FWIW, I made my final payment by phone today and confirmed the 90 day timeframe to submit my training cert.

I FOUND THIS: Looks like 90 days if this is correct.>>>

When can I take my firearms course?
The Sheriff's Department cannot require you to take your safety course prior to your application being approved. You may contact one of the approved instructors once your initial fee & fingerprints have been submitted; however the final weapons qualification and your certificate must be within 90 days of your written approval date.

I can't find any pertinent information on their website, but I wouldn't delay. The training cert is only good for 90 days though. I would either call or email the ccw unit and ask them.

    Permitium scheduling change?

I am trying to move my interview forward, but in the past couple of days the rescheduling dates start on Oct 2 2023, no dates sooner are listed. Has something changed with Permitium? Thanks.
