Congratulations! I just got mine too on day 89. I am now waiting on my class scheduled for 7/25 @ Poway Weapons & Gear!

So how do we go about adding guns to the license? Do I just go and qualify with them and then submit the paperwork to the sherif ?

That may be a bit oversimplified and vague. Go to Pentium and start an application for a modification. You will be asked for pretty much all the same information that you do for a full application. It's not clear to me what happens if you do not provide all the usual address verification, etc. That's where you will also submit your training docs.

Just peruse this thread. Going back to early last year or so. That's when the Sheriff really started loosening the GC requirements. With proper documentation, things like camping & hiking are sufficient.

I am taking my CCW course and qualification at Poway Weapons & Gear this Sunday and wanted some insight on what to expect. Besides going over the laws and legal aspects of carrying a concealed weapon and range qualifications, are there any written exams etc that will be given?

Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

I got my approval text/email about 3:00PM today. It was an 87 day wait. San Diego County Gun Owners and Calguns were instrumental in my successful application. I am paying members to both organizations. Now on to paying fees and training. I will most likely research CCW insurance plans too.

I dropped USCCA for CCWSafe.

I have never taken a class at PWG, but it certainly is a beautiful facility. I have taken my classes with Kyle at DGM and both were a great experience as it is with Patrick on the range portion.

Trustino schedule your pick up appointment before you take the class. I scheduled mine the same day I scheduled my class as was about two weeks out from my class.
