I advocate putting all your concealable guns on your permit. This forms a protective shield for you against legal difficulties resulting from inadvertent transportation errors such as the possibility you thought it was unloaded, but you inadvertently left a round in the chamber or the lock you put in the case did not actually lock when you thought it did. You may also want a variety of guns for different anticipated risks or clothing. The one I carry daily in a proper holster on my belt is different from the smaller one I slip in my pocket just to take out the trash. Different calibers is also a good idea if you can't find ammo for one in the future, you may for the other.
Thank you. These are great points that I had not considered!

There is no reason to limit the guns on your permit. San Diego allows an unlimited number. When you take your training course you will need to demonstrate your proficiency with each one. Each instructor sets his own policy on how many are included in his basic fee and how much he charges for any over the included number.

Many thanks. That is good news

    Hi guys,
I am about to submit an application to the San Diego Sheriff for my first CCW permit and am a tad worried about listing multiple guns on the application based on some threads here. I have possible carry options of Glock 19, 19X and 31. I am going to do the 8 hours course at PWG in Poway.

Yes. But you need to document their value. Sales receipts are fine.

I think I am an outlier but I submitted my certificate the Saturday I completed the course. I assume they didn't process it until Monday, but I received my permit in the mail that same week Thursday or Friday. Again, I don't think that is normal, but less than a week for me. This was in April 2022.

Document document document your good cause justification.
if we get a good ruling soon from SCOTUS, there is a chance we may not need to do the good cause anymore.
