Who has modified and added a firearm onto their CCW recently? Back in April it took less than a week for the modification to be added and mailed to me. I am wondering how long the turnaround time is currently with all the new applicants.

Mine's a renewal so should be much quicker.

Got an email from SDSO on the 90 day mark (yesterday) . Might be seeing some movement on mine shortly.

IMO, The wait for the actual permit is worse than the “90” days.

I’ve found that corresponding with an actual licensing person is faster than the general “CCW” email.

This could be pretty good sign for SD folks. Also, my renewal only took 13 days from app submission to approval and on the 16th day, permit arrived in the mail.

Funny though - just over a week after submission she emails about an active and outstanding moving violation that I failed to note, from 2012! Failure to stop that was still active with the traffic court. I couldn't even remember the damn ticket but I don't understand how it wasn't brought to my attention on previous two submittals. This was my second renewal.

Well, tomorrow marks 90 days since my in-office visit("interview" doesn't quite apply since I just went from station to station) on May 9th. Haven't heard a peep. Called a couple times during those 3 months but wasn't provided any more info that I received from the nice ladies I met in person.

We'll see how it goes - I'll keep y'all updated.

Back to the desks in back for application review, then out to the waiting area where there was a small room for fingerprints and mugshots...er.. photos.

They did want work and spouse name/phone number. Are they actually calling them for anything?
