The extension to 90 day was also not just for them, but class sizes impacted by Covid too. Though it seems not to hard to get a class right now.

I want to add a couple firearms to my CCW. I e-mailed them to find out how long the certification is good for - Jessica said 90 days.

Nada. Permitium status is unchanged so far. Still early though I expected this. I was told the order of priority is expiration date so I guess it depends if they are falling behind or catching up on that.

I’m all submitted now about 7.5 weeks before expiration. We’ll see if that was enough to avoid a gap.

Cool thanks. My GC justifications for renewal are unchanged from initial.
Just some minor edits to apply towards a renewal rather than an initial.

I can't see past the first screen on permitium without filling it out to see

Yes, I believe you need to re-submit even if nothing has changed. The questions are the same for either an initial or renewal application. I believe they are the same as the paper form but in a different order, because the end product seems to be a PDF version of the paper form with your answers filled in. If there were any differences, I did not notice them.

I noticed that too for my initial. I asked as soon I saw the expiration date on the certificate and my pick-up date was over 30 days away. The SDCSO said though they are normally pretty strict about the 30 days, they are relaxing it because of the 'rona.

Here is what Jessica responded with:

"Normally we accept things like a letter from SDG&E stating the new address receiving service, or the same from your cable company.
Because appointments are several weeks out, you can submit your modification and still have time to upload bills once you get them."

So, it seems, you do not have to have a "complete" package before submitting an application. It seems you can submit the application and add docs as you get them Since appointments are taking so long to get, this gives you more (lots of?) time.

Yes, I do. My original app't was 4/2 pushed back to 6/1. I got my approval letter 7/9. I couldn't do the class until 7/18 (the 11th was available but we dad previous plans) and my pick-up date is 8/20 (they only issue one afternoon a week; Thurs). I believe all that would have been at least 2 months sooner without the corona.
