For recent initial applicants, how long after your interview was your first communication with anyone from the sheriff's office? I'm at 4 weeks since my interview and no contact yet so just curious if that is typical.

If you have no discrepancies in your paperwork, then they shouldn't be getting a hold of you. They found a missing ticket for me on day 89 of the background check and that was the only time anyone reached out to me. No delays got the approval the next day.

Same here. I believe that it's been four weeks now since they acknowledged my certification. Not a word yet and Permitium still only shows "Permit Approved". I wonder how long this is going to take and if I should give them a call or send them an email to inquire about the status of my permit later this week.

Alright, I just checked Permitium again and saw that the status just got updated to "Permit Delivered". It looks it just got mailed out and I should receive it any time now.

This is good to keep in mind, thanks for reminding me. My background is squeaky clean and other than a disclosed minor accident a few years ago, there was nothing to report.

I'm still waiting to receive the permit in the mail, and I saw today that Permitium does not show anything anymore with regard to my application (the progress bar is gone). Has this happened to you too?

That's FANTASTIC!!!!!! My whole process was about 11 MONTHS!!! CONGRATS!!!

Did my renewal training last night (I can't recommend John Russo @ North County Shooting Center enough!!!!) and uploaded the cert and supporting docs last night. I tried to "proceed" and the system wouldn't let me. Apparently I need to be within 45 days of expiration to proceed. John said he heard renewals take about 4 weeks.
