You need to fill out an application on Pentium. It may actually be the whole regular application with a check box for "Modification". That's what gets your place in line for an appointment. Then you can proceed with qualification. You need to have the qualification done no later than the day before your appointment. Obviously, you have to do your qualification after your pickup date for the new Glock, although I have heard of somebody making an exception where the buyer had the new gun in it's waiting period at the same location as the range and they allowed him to use the gun on premises for qualification and then return it to "gun jail" for the remainder of the period. I would be reluctant to count on such flexible scheduling however.

I do my training and qualifications with Kyle Dau and Patrick Lovette at Discount Gun Mart on Morena. I recommend them highly. You get a discount on the addition qualification if you do your training with them, but that is not a requirement.

Yes I hear BI only reaches out to you if they have questions or if they are requesting additional information. Glad you got everything cleared up and thanks for sharing your experiences with background check. I have heard of some cases where a deputy will drop by the house to verify residency for initial applicants. Congrats again and carry safe. It’s a very long process, but once you get done, it seems to be worth it. A lot of waiting in between.

I will patiently wait for my background check to be completed and let you know if I get approved or not.

Wow 87 days is not too bad. When I went in for my interview I was told 90 days and more than likely no sooner. I am only 33 days in so far. It seems like time frame is kind of random, because I have a friend that got his approval letter 60 days and another friend that got his at 87 days as well. My timeline so far is as follows.

If you do not mind me asking. Did you have any contact with the Sheriff's department or BI during your 90 day wait?

    Initial Application submitted: 07/20/2020
    Interview Date: 03/29/2021
    Interview Rescheduled: 04/16/2021
    Went to Interview: 0416/2021
    Live Scan and Photo: 04/16/2021
    Now awaiting approval/denial.

Congratulations. Did you background check from Post Live Scan take the full 90 days?

Seems the simple stuff is reasonable. Had a work address change and that was not long.
