So it comes from surgeon with a pinned base and pinned lug? That is a no brainer. Probably came out with it to directly compete with the stiller. Does the surgeon come with the standard surgeon one piece bolt and screw on bolt knobs?

yes that is what i said!

      $600 action, $100 20moa base, $40 double pinned lug, and $12 bolt mod. $752

for a fully built custom action ready to go that is a good deal. since it's a surgeon, you'll always have a good resell value too. can't go wrong.

Bolt mod? If it comes from surgeon with their standard bolt, it should also come with a screw on bolt knob. Either way, its a winner.

the extra screw on bolt mod is $12. i really like the spiral flutes on the bolt too. to me it's a cosmetic thing that i really like.

my remington 700 trued action will perform the same as the surgeon, but it's nice to have a custom action for the hell of it. a little bit of gun luxury.

Gotcha. I thought you were referring to the bolt mod like Joe's. I like the KMW one from surgeon. Looks killer. Fluted bolt has the cdi factor. Looks nice. I'm stoked its one piece. No worries of ripping a bolt handle off.

Did you order one already? Did they give a timeframe for delivery?

i was so excited that he was giving me the deal after the group buy closed, i didn't even ask for their wait time. he said they will call me when it's ready to ship. then at the time of shipment they will charge it on my cc.

i would think not too long. it looks like they are on the ball. their bm are already rolling out.

i called him, and spoke with him directly. i figured worse thing he can do is say no, but he was realllllll nice to me. i told him i was going to tell all my buddies about it on calguns. once it hits the market, no more special pricing. get it now or regret it like the stiller group buy.

Im wondering why you are getting that then a standered 700 action?

                    Check that out.

Rather than a 700? Do you really have to ask?

Im just wondering what everyones different answers are..... No 2 people are the same.
                        Lets play devils advocate:
Rem is time tested bla bla.
                        ALot cheaper
initial cost of trueing is more expensive but once trued cost the same to put barrels on
                        Rem comes with a trigger.

                        Now im wondering why....

functionally nothing, but i'm getting a one piece bolt that is fluted, stainless steel material, edm burned railings, pinned base and recoil lug, with an action that holds value better than a remington 700. plus i like the novelty aspect to it.

Umm, did you really just say that? So you buy an action thats cheaper and then have to put a bunch of money into it...is it really cheaper?

Add a stronger side bolt release and a solid bolt handle/body, and you're well ahead buying the surgeon.

its one hell of a deal i think. i regretted the stiller group buy last year, so i don't want to miss the boat on the surgeon group buy which i think is way better than the stiller so everything worked out.
