Pictures of how they do it?
I did not find it on their site.

It does not have the integral recoil lug. Its bacically a rem 700 action built by surgeon. Let me try and find the link for it on their site.

Damn, and I have the annular cutter now that makes it so much easier to put on bolt knobs too.
The commute was worse than missing SAC this weekend?

Did IOR send you another scope, or fix yours?

Didn't even think about Sac this weekend until after I sent the bolt out.

They tore it apart and fixed it up. If anything goes wrong after this custom build.. I will have about zero faith in IORs.

Your scope going down, Mike Cecil's talk and showing me that mine has a problem too has turned me off IOR for now.
I have $2300 sitting in an envelope, just need Niteforce to release their FFP...

call him. it's a new thing.

recoil lug is not integral, but you can use a holland recoil lug and pin it.

i like the novelty part about surgeons. i don't need it, but hey why not? this will be my last build, so i'm going out with a bang. now when is that nf ffp coming out?

                        I'd love to do a switch-barrel build, but I can't bring myself to build a model 70 and I can't afford a full-blown surgeon action.

What are the options for custom actions that drop into 700 bedding with an integral lug?

Maybe I just need to screw or weld a lug on to the front of an action...

holland recoil lug! pin it. then you can do switch barrels. i can do a switch barrel on my r+d. it's no big deal.

That surgeon looks pretty good for the price. That may be worthwhile if we can get it in a few weeks instead of minimum 4 months from stiller.

i'll still have to wait for the macmillan stock. 4-6 months out. i haven't placed the order, cause i am not definite on it yet.

$752, comes with 20moa base, recoil lug, and bolt mod. the base and recoil lugs are both pinned into the action. pretty much a no brainer for a custom action. I really dig the fluted bolt too.
