I came back after just short of a decade. Came back to raise my children in the "Land of the Free" not trying to start a whole new topic with that but honestly it is a big reason we came back. I want my children to have the choice to play multiple sports or no sports, know people from all walks of life, and be able to spend time with me and my wife. The school system in Japan just does not allow for much "out of the box thinking" or creativity. It also has the kids at school in the am, playing a sport that they choose in elementary and basically stick with through high school, and also cramming in evening study classes and getting home just before dinner.

Long story short, even with our recent two terms of terrible decisions, we (US citizens- and others here completely legally) really do have it quite well here and hopefully once we get back on track it will get better and better again!

I work on and deal with Mazda Rotary engine cars (RX-7's) for the most part.

Japan's a great place and a great nation, but you can't build your own AR over there.
