How to post a picture/Edit a thread title/Embed youtube

Why cant it just be as easy as adding pics to an email? I feel it's so archaic here dealing with photos and hosting and URL etc..... it's 2020.

For my first post of an image I linked to this picture at the free host "postimages.org" (also in the thread "How to Photograph Handguns").

Success thanks to good instructions! It's good to know this posting process.

Question- If I delete this image at the hosting service, will this image still be here on the CG server?

Easy uploading at host site.
I signed up at postimages.org. I saw no firearm restriction.
I then uploaded without changing the sizing already set.

As soon as it was uploaded I saw a screen with 8 ways to copy the location of the image. I clicked the direct link (option 2). It went right into memory.

Easy peasy! Now you have the link to post your image here. Don't forget the image tag before and after your link when you paste it into your post here- [img]your link[/img] no spaces.

This Unique Relic photo was a quick effort with a smartphone, black board, and an OTT-LITE. I used the native photo app (iPhone) to crop and remove some color from the old yellowed grip. Then, I used the "Picture Perfect" app to cover a bright spot in the background. Next time I try this I'll start with a better focused shot.

There is good reason to shoot on white for selling purpose, but this image is more of an "art" shot made to emphasize the engraved designs. I'll be retiring some year soon and I would like to learn hand engraving. Let me know if you are a Master engraver in San Diego County and you can use an intern.
